I thought it was good. I had predicted that she'd end up veep to Hugh Laurie via a floor vote so I got half way through the episode, but I liked this better. I did get a little sad about Gary though.
pugz, my DH who had watched 3 episodes prior to this saw him, and I missed it first time around.
“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
I finally got to watch it last night. It was so great. I didn't love the flash forward, but it was worth it for the whole casket scene. Katherine serving margaritas during the funeral was THE BEST. I missed Andrew at the funeral, so I will have to watch it again. I could probably rewatch this whole series multiple times. It is SO GOOD.

I thought it was going to end with Richard as President, so when they had to go to the whatever # ballot, I thought for sure they were going to draft him on the floor. I loved all the little callbacks - the crypt, Tom Hanks dying, the "staggering incompetence". I hate what she did to Gary, but it wasn't remotely suprising - she is and always has been a terrible person.
Amy going full Kellyanne Conway for a bit was fun. I loved that Jonah as VP is what ultimately pushed her and Kent over the edge (though they weren't wrong) - not the war crimes, or the Chinese interfering in elections, not giving away gay marriage or Tibet or anything else. Just Jonah.

We finally watched it. I loved it. I really appreciated that she stayed true to character. I didn't love the flash-forward, but I did like Richard as president and Gary with the lipstick. The whole storyline with Amy circling the drain with Jonah was amazing.
I might have to rewatch from season one. It was such an amazing show. Definitely all-time top 5 for me, and maybe my favorite comedy ever. Everything about it is just so well done, the acting, the writing, the directing.
Veep is definitely one of my favorite shows ever and I think they did a good job with staying fresh and consistent over so many seasons. I also love Julia Louis Dreyfus and I'm glad she's the Seinfeld alum with the most longstanding career.

I loved it...I'm totally going to miss this show!!
The Gary thing was sad but definitely true to her character. When they showed her in the oval office at the end, alone and not sure what to do for a minute, it was like she finally got what she wanted most, and yet it was clear that it wasn't necessarily a happy ending because of how she had to get there. I liked that they put that moment in there.
Mike's story line this season was pretty amusing too.
LOVED that Richard was president at the end. I legit squealed, lol.
