I raced last night and then went out drinking so today should be interesting! I am doing a casual running event today with some friends. It is a small loop course and you run as many loops as you can in an hour. For every loop you run you get a raffle ticket towards prizes. It helps local charities and was only $15, plus it is always good to be with friends.
Depending on how far I go I may keep going after to complete a total of 10 miles.

I’m up and drinking coffee. Running 4 today. I decided I’m doing a fall half. Trying to decide if I pay to join a training group through LRS or if I just do my own training plan and train with a local group I just got hooked up with.
I was up way too early for my mtb race, which was a #fail. I'm retiring from mtb races....

I hurt my back a week and a half ago. It started hurting about 3/4 of the way into the first lap. I decided to call it a day rather than risk anything. Had I done another lap I would have been on the podium. #fail but at the same time, my back is only barely sore tonight instead of really bad.
...I'll add that as late at Tuesday I was still having problems getting up and down (like out of a chair) and twisting. I'm still having a slight issue with moving to one side. I KNOW I did the right thing, but I'd love to have had that podium.

Ooof. That’s a tough call, but you made the right choice. It hurts to pull out though! ;(
