I'm confused by what's happening when they all walk out from the wall. Are they leaving? What's happening there?
Jon’s definitely leaving with the Wildlings and his dog to go live north of the wall. That and Jon killing Dany were my two predictions that came true.

They’re going home without the threat of the white walkers. Did you see the green sprout when they were leaving? Looks like winter may have came and went.
Right that makes sense. The vibe it gave me was Jon was going with them, like to stay, but that doesn’t make sense given his banishment to the wall. It made me wonder if he was going to somehow just end up living in Sansas realm and it was all no big. Clearly I’m reading into it wrong but it threw me off.

Ok so I’m not crazy. Then why with the “you can visit me at castle black” thing?

I thought it was actually pretty clever - almost all of the Night's Watch was pretty much killed off or vacated with The Night King coming through and this gave the wildlings /free folk a chance to come back to their homelands without their big bad being a problem. I'm sure Bran knew exactly what he was sending him off to do - to go live as Mance Rayder did, among the wildlings, essentially free (or as a ranger, like he wanted to originally with Benjen).
tyrion made that whole speech to jon about How he wouldn’t be the last one to be executed and that she wouldn’t have forgotten that he is the rightful heir. unless she had her own hidden dagger, it seems pretty clear to me that she just wanted to be loved by him and was willing to let it go. That felt really sad to me. But I know as long as his sisters were threatened that he wouldn’t let her live.

Well, that's about the mixed bag that I thought it would be. Loved the ending for Sansa and Arya and liked it for most of the supporting characters. Even Jon's fate made sense -- and Ghost is the BEST BOY. But Bran ending up as king just felt really forced, like a writer's choice versus a natural conclusion to all of this.
During Tyrion's grand speech about stories, I'm looking around, thinking, well, a huge number of the people here have really compelling stories about what they survived and how strong and smart they are and what good leaders they are/have been. Bran's is not the one I would've chosen as the "well, what can beat this, and we should all fall in line!!" That felt contrived. And I really can't believe that everyone -- especially Dorne and the Iron Islands -- would've sat there and said nothing while the North gets to be an independent kingdom and not argued for the same for themselves.
I laughed at Sansa shooting down Edmure.
Honestly, I can deal with Branbot on the throne. I think it's meh, but whatever. But would it really have killed them to cut, like, 15 seconds of the interminable, lingering shots of Tyrion's face in this episode and instead let Brienne start her own page in the book of the Kings Guard?
I groaned at the book call-out. Ripped right from LOTR. Nice.
DH was like, "I should have stopped watching after the battle of Winterfell." LOL.
I think everyone knows? I just think that they dont want to put a queen killer on the throne maybe? At least Bran seemed more like Bran vs a creepy weirdo..also didn't the last 3 eyed raven live a very long time?
Jon didn't want the throne. All he ever wanted to do was be a Ranger like his Uncle Benjen. Looks like he got his wish.
So he’s just making the wildlings cosplay Night’s Watch with him?
Ugh so fucking Bran? Really? Even if that idea grew on me, I’m mad that Jon was never recognized for who he really is. Like I would’ve wanted everyone to know it and then he himself choose to not take the crown.

Bran isn’t plugged into a tree though, so maybe he’s mortal?

Well, that’s the thing. WE know and we know a handful of people there know but I guess for history’s sake, we don’t know if “it is known” by the general public.
That was a HUGE story line from the beginning, for it to just be kept quiet at the end.
I didn’t want him on the throne, but at least let him be known by his true name and not the bastard.
I’m happy with it! The leaks were accurate. I felt pretty emotional during the whole thing, definitely sad and then hopeful for the future. So much loss and death but with the hope of rebuilding and a better future.
I was wondering if Drogon burned the throne b/c he knew it corrupted his mother and ultimately led to her death, and he spared Jon b/c he knew he was good? Targaryen
Ya I thought he burned the throne because it corrupted his mother and he spared jon because hes a Targaryen and Targaryens are the blood of the dragon.
Only two people on that small council should be on there. Bronn didn’t even know about loans a couple years ago. Sam hasn’t earned any links on his Maester’s chain.
When these leaks were posted everyone thought they were too incoherent and dumb to be true. Guess our expectations were subverted.
Bronn being there was weird, but at least some comic relief. He is like a cockroach that can survive anything. I love Sam. So links or no I am happy he’s there.
Oh, I love Sam too. I just thought it was funny to have all these unqualified and under qualified people (all but 1 being white men!) making decisions for the realm. Even Bran is silly, since he had never been south as his knowledge would be limited by a severe lack of weirwoods in the south.
I totally missed that Jon was going to live north of the wall. 🤦🏼♀️ i think because he was still dressed in black.
Was ghost missing his ear 2 episodes ago?
There's a shot after the battle of Winterfell, the one where Jon is asking Tormund to take care of him, where he was missing the ear and had some other wounds. I think it's easier to tell in the still than it was in the moment.

I kind of assumed he would just go back to bring Jon Snow. He knows he’s not a bastard, so he doesn’t have that chip on his shoulder, but it’s also a connection to his past and is definitely a lot less ostentatious than Aegon Targaryan, 6th of his name.
