Hiking! I haven’t quite decided where, it’ll either be the 6-mile trail out by a local lake, or the 4-mile “mountain loop” (not really a mountain). I’m trying to do a taper because my Kilimanjaro climb starts on the 27th, but I don’t want to taper too much.
I am doing a horrible track interval workout. Depending on what time I finish I may stay to say hi to a couple of teammates that are finishing the beginner track certification class today. I also hope to wash a couple of bikes & the car if my back tells me it's ok. If not, the car will get driven to the automatic car wash up the street.
I just got back from breakfast with my Dad. He has to always remind me about what a good runner he was back in the day... I know he tells me because he thinks it is something we have in common, but it reminds me about how I am not his daughter in that aspect. I am slow as a turtle. I need to get over it.
I need to do 10 miles and I want to do a different route than a friend of mine, but I know I will be more motivated if I go with her. So we need to decide what we are doing. Then.... Taper for my half is ON!

I finished up my half this morning. It was windy but somehow we didn’t get rained on, hooray! They ended up canceling the marathon due to flooding on the course which was really sucked for all those marathoners.
