My friend is turning 40 in a few weeks. Super hard to shop for. She has a Cricut and makes absolutely everything monogrammed for herself. Doesn’t need anything, buys whatever she wants or makes it.
She loves crafting and her Cricut. They just majorly upgraded their boat and spend a lot of time on the water at our local sandbar. I saw a cool floating bean bag type chair but it was $200 and my budget is more like $20-$30. She doesn’t really drink so the cool floating wine glasses are out. Although maybe that’s still fun for nonalcoholic drinks?
Any ideas are appreciated. Will probably take her out for dinner with a group so that’s not an option either:
For my 40th people mostly gave me cards and a couple bottles of wine. I don’t really drink either. I was perfectly happy with being around my friends. Why do you need to buy anything really? A card with a nice note can go a long way.

She gave me a gift for my last birthday and I would feel weird not reciprocating.
And believe me I wish she hadn’t lol! I would rather friend’s just go out to a nice celebratory meal than try and do gifts.

Is there any way for you to find out if she has a shammy towel for her boat? It’s the weirdest thing but they are indescribably useful for wiping up after swimming and also after a rain shower on leather, vinyl and plastic seating.
I consider them to be indispensable on a boat but lots of people don’t have them. Definitely $20ish. I respect that this seems like an odd gift from a non-boat person.
Waterproof Bluetooth speaker. We use ours constantly on the boat. Also love any type of backpack or easy to carry cooler so the kids can help lug stuff onto the boat.

I bought an anchor charm bracelet from Alex & Ani for a friend that is into boating. Perhaps an option depending on her style and would fit into your budget.
Tervis and some kind of fun N/A beverage, like gourmet lemonade or something? Some of the fancy new Diet Cokes? Depending on what she actually likes to drink.
beach towel? Visor?
One of those funny floats just for fun, like a giant unicorn or flamingo or whatever.
