Who's flown Space A? I'd like to hear your stories and advice. H is going to be gone all next month and I'm thinking about trying to get a Space A back to the States while he's gone rather than staying here alone. I'd be flying out of Rammstein, if that helps. Any thoughts?

It's specific to location to a degree. Here, there's a public fb page that shows the next 72 hours of flights. I've seen some locations have it running on AFN.
You should google for a faq, rather than me trying to remember all the correct details
At least from there you have the rotater with regularly scheduled flights. Plus, it's a standard commercial aircraft. Call your AMC terminal to see if they have stats on how filled up it is this time of year. I know our fb page lists the stats for every flight after they've left, telling how many seats were available, how many filled, and lowest category on it. It allows some semblance of planning.
Get your request into the terminal asap. That goes into calculating your priority. You can request up to 60 days out I believe.
I have and flew into Rammstein in June of this year. When H was deployed, I used it A LOT.
Everything I've experienced is way too long to just type out. If you have specific questions about the process then I can answer that. Since your H is not deployed (you said he's going to be gone just next month) then you'd be flying under CAT 5. Do you have a command sponsorship letter? You'll need that to travel.
Rammstein's AMC Terminal has a FB page and people ask all sorts of questions on there about the process.
