I'm hoping not to melt on my rides. We are starting really early since it's supposed to be 95+ degrees and humid this weekend. I have a cookout to go to and hope for some down time.
I’m racing tomorrow (using the word racing loosely, more like participating). It will be my first double digit run in >2 years and I am horribly underprepared. I am hoping to be able to complete the majority of it and that the rain/storms hold off
ILs are coming out and staying with DD so DH and I can go out for our (10year!!) anniversary. It will be our first overnight alone in 2 years. Damn time goes fast.
On Sunday morning, I fly out to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro!
I think I'm sort-of ready. I climbed a much smaller mountain a couple of weeks ago and did a ton of hilly hiking last week. I decided to try a sort-of taper this week, so I'm pretty well rested, but now I'm second-guessing myself. Maybe instead of a taper, I just lost fitness
Tomorrow, I pack. And panic and run out to buy more cr@p I don't really need.
We're going for a long ride just the two of us- planning on a leisurely 100 on a local trail. Starting stupid early so we can get a chunk of miles in before it gets super crowded and hot.
