Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! We are have been recording record breaking heat since late last week. It won't break until this weekend. I'd rather be hot than cold and wearing 5 layers to ride.
Any AW's or brags? My back seems to be on the mend from when I strained it a couple of weeks ago.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I am all over the place with my schedule, I got extremely lazy this past week and skipped like 3 work outs. There is a local ride this upcoming weekend that I am eyeing up the 60 miles but am hesitant to do it by myself. I tried to get a family member to join me but they're out and now am working on a friend. Ugh I should just suck it up and do it myself.. ?
Any AW's or brags? Provided the weather cooperates tonight I will have made it it to all the Tuesday night group rides in May.

What are you training for? Date? Queen City Half (7/27); Chicago Marathon (10/13)
Training schedule for the week? Monday: Crosstrain, core Tuesday: 5 miles Wed-Sun: Work Conference
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I have a work conference this week. I'm hoping to get at least 2 runs in, but I'm trying to be realistic. This is an intense work conference, where I'm going from 7:30am-7:30pm, with very little free time. Those of you who manage to train while out of town for work are my heros. I just don't think I can do it. My coach is ok with it, and my training schedule says "Work Conference. Rest or run 6 miles, depending on time" every single day. Uh, what? I know he typed it once and copy/pasted it, but even if I could fit in a run every day, 6 miles isn't going to happen. I'm hoping for 2 days of 3 mile runs.
Any AW's or brags? I officially added a summer half into my training schedule. I live in the land of NO SUMMER RACES, because of course I do. So I decided to find a location that makes an easy weekend away for H and I, with the added bonus of a race. I think H is going to run the 10k, which is really exciting for him.
Training schedule for the week? Mon: Rest Tue: Legs Wed: Back/Biceps Thu: Chest/Triceps Fri: Light Cardio/Core Sat: Yoga Sun: Yoga
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I'm only on week two of being back in the H&F game, and dragging my ass to the gym before work is going to take some serious getting used to. I have to get up early enough to pump, get ready, go do my workout, get back home, and be ready to work by 6:30am (assuming I don't have any meetings scheduled earlier than that, which is not uncommon). I feel really accomplished at the end of my workouts, but getting myself up and out the door has not been fun. Someone please tell me that it will get easier as I get used to it!
Any AW's or brags? I survived week one of my new H&F plan. It's been well over a year since I stopped working out regularly, so I'm going to call that win right now.
What are you training for? Date? - double metric 6/8, Century 7/toolazytocheck, Oly Tri following weekend
Training schedule for the week? M - rest T - short ride. W - medium ride? Maybe actually go for a run for once in the morning. Th - longish ride F - rest Sa - swim!!!! (pls weather, please) Su - run. Or ride with the kids. depends on weather. Also getting a bike fitting on the touring bike.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - the new touring bike needs a major cockpit adjustment - the reach is too long, and after 43 miles on sunday I've got one hell of a knot in my left trap. Fitting is scheduled for Sunday though, so that's nice.
Any AW's or brags? - We rode 101 miles on Saturday (and 42 on sunday) and it was lovely. This is my life now, that 100 miles is fairly routine and riding the next day isn't a big deal. Weird. We also got to take some nice leisurely breaks involving (mediocre) BBQ and a chocolate croissant, and it was just a really nice day. Also it was nice to feel some real progress on some more intangibles like my bike handling skills, flexibility, core strength, etc. I'm just so much more comfortable on my bike than I used to be, and I wasn't sure how that was going to a play out with the bulk of our training being indoors.

It will get easier. I mean, that alarm is always going to suck, but once you fall into a routine with it you at least won't have to engage your brain to figure out what the next step is, so it'll be easier in that sense.
What are you training for? Date? Fit Foodie 5K 6/22, Colonial Beach Sprint Triathlon 7/14, JFK 50-miler 11/23

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Big school event is a week and a half away and there is so much to do.
Any AW's or brags? I had my first trail run over the weekend. It was really challenging, but I enjoyed it! I liked forgetting about pace and experiencing the woods. My shoes worked out nicely. Man I was feeling it the next day. I'm excited to try more spots.

My foot still hurts. Ugh. It’s slowly getting better, but very slowly. My calf doesn’t want to loosen up.
