I have samples of Drunk Elephant products: a cleanser, moisturizer and some add-in thing that I think must be made from unicorn tears. I was trying to avoid this brand. After a few days of using it, the moisturizer and add-in thingy are amazeballs. Not overly impressed with the jelly cleanser.

I got a small size of the Baby Facial during the Sephora sale, since literally everyone seems to agree with you that this brand is magic. It does NOTHING. Did I get a bad one? I am probably going to return it.

I didn't notice any difference when using baby facial. I did however notice a significant change with the glycolic acid from DE.
I just got a one time code from Sephora for 20% of my next purchase through 6-11. I've never gotten one of those before. I'm Rouge, so I don't know if they are sending them out to Rouge members?

Tarte is having their $63 kit sale today. I was not going to get it but some of the stuff is really good - Shape Tape foundation I have been wanting to try, a contour kit, mini eyeshadow palette, etc.

They must know I'm trying to not buy anything.
I got one too and until the last sale hadn't ordered anything from sephora in over a year.

The jelly cleanser is the one product of theirs that I hate. Also, it stings horribly if you get it in your eye.
Is the moisturizer the protini one? That is magic in a jar.

I also dislike the DE Jelly cleanser, but love the Pekee and JuJu bars. My skin just feels soft, but clean after using them and I get zero irritation.
I do too! They last a really long time. I wish they'd sell them in stick format. Or at least sell a case that I can store it in. I bought the travel duo that comes with a zip case, which is alright, but I use the Pekee faster than the Juju, so only buying them in duos doesn't work. I'd really love a plastic case built to hold a full size bar that has a lid.
Also their website states that starting at 12 Central Time, there will be a Sun Bum beauty break. I've not used the brand, but there are a ton of samples, and who doesn't love sunscreen samples?

I love Sun Bum! We went through almost two bottles of the SPF 50 over the last week while we were at Disney World, and it's the first sunscreen I've used in awhile that truly protected my skin. So many other brands have left me with burns, but this stuff worked perfectly.

Awesome! I can’t wait to try it out. Grabbed a couple refills of things I’ll use up soon. With Ebates at 8% and an offer for 100 extra bonus points on a $25 purchase, it works out to a good buy!
ESF, it's one of the two sunscreens I will buy consistently (the other is No Ad). I'm a burner so I appreciate ones that actually work well and I love the scent.
Anyone following the Jaclyn Hill lipstick debacle? Apparently she’s selling product that’s been in a warehouse for the past few years. Plus there’s hair/fuzz in the bullets.
🤮
ETA: Temptalia posted about what is normal. Just based on examples, looks like QC at Tom Ford, MAC, and Bite is hot garbage.

I'm fascinated by the fact that for the last several years, she has spent $40-50k a year on products to sample.
I wonder what her ad revenue must be!
She has to be making at least high six figures/year, and very likely more. Those product purchases are basically an employee for her.
Yeah, she must do well. She also must work her ass off for that money. Most beauty bloggers are not reviewing even a fraction of the products she does, nor do they do so quite so systematically and scientifically.
I think she's said before that her husband helps out with web design, but I think she basically does everything else herself. I do wonder how often she just puts makeup on just for herself, or whether she frequently goes for dinner with two different eyeshadow looks.

I bought a Paula's Choice skincare set (acne +aging) off of Zulily on a whim recently, and so far I am pretty impressed with the results. I haven't done a formal multi-step regimen since I was using Proactive in my 20s, and I could hardly use the toner because it made my skin so red and dry. (The toners of my teens/20s put me off toners for a very long time.) I usually avoid salicylic acid, too, because it irritates my skin, but it is in both the PC cleanser and the toner and I'm not having issues -- even with the combination of the SA and the benzoyl peroxide acne cream which is one of the steps. I don't know if it's because my skin has changed so much or because of the PC formulation -- or a bit of both. That combination has been a disaster for me the times that I've tried it over the years, but now it not only seems to be not irritating my skin, but improving it.
My skin is really soft, the tone is much more even and it appears to be helping the small acne, even the ones down by my jawline/along the hairline on my neck and red spots on my chest. I also like that I can mix the last-step liquid into my regular moisturizer (Cetaphil), so I can keep the moisturizer that I already know my skin does decently with, instead of adding a fifth new product.
I got a sample/travel size of that Hydro Milk primer that everyone is raving about on youtube. I have tried it several ways and it's total shit. Glad I did not invest more than I should.
I am totally annoyed with my postal service. They said they delivered my boxyluxe to my parcel box but they failed to give me a key and who ever they did give the key too won't open the box. So now I am on hold to open a case to figure this out. I can't seem to catch the mailman and I have tried a few times. Sigh. I just want my box dammit.
I caved and bought the ABH x Alyssa Edwards palette tonight with my 20%off coupon. I don’t need more effing eyeshadow, but she’s one of my favorite queens and I just couldn’t not take advantage of the 20% off.

I've been using Dr Hauschka's rose day cream for a couple of weeks. It has helped my redness so much and my skin is much happier. The rose scent is fairly strong and not my favorite, but it goes away quickly.
