Pitocin contractions are the worst! I ended up begging for the epidural but just as the anesthesiologist was coming in (after 4.5 hours) Baby Finn was born in 2 pushes I barely remember. I opened my eyes to a baby on my chest and a roomful of people 😂 y’all he is so small to me - only 7lbs 9oz but just perfect.

chocolatepie. Our family is not near us either. I was induced with Dd and my mom came the day before my induction and actually was supposed to stay for like a week and she left the day I got discharged from the hospital. I was annoyed at her but it worked out. Turns out she’s not super helpful and gets on our nerves big time for various reasons.
Congratulations namasteak!! I hope you are feeling well!
I’m really tired and achey but the Advil should kick in soon and hopefully can get some rest then. Sweet boy is super sleepy and he feels so small in my arms. Good thing we got some NB stuff because the 0-3 stuff is HUGE on him 😂

I remember being so worried with my first baby that she'd be bigger than expected and wouldn't fit into her (newborn sized) going home outfit - and that the hospital wouldn't let us take her home or something (lol). So I ordered another outfit in size 0-3 to pack just in case. She came out at 6 lbs 15 and was swimming in newborn clothes for at least the first month. Ha.
Apparently I shouted I think I need to push and let out a moan. Then DH and the nurse saw a gush of fluid (my water had been broken earlier), they lifted the blanket up and he was halfway out. I must have blacked out because I don’t really remember the second push and then opened my eyes to a baby on my belly and a room full of people.
DH keeps asking to fed him because he didn’t really feed the big kids and my heart might explode from the cuteness.
namasteak how are you feeling? And 2 pushes! If you have a fourth you’ll be done in one sneeze (jk). Great job and I’m glad you’re finally done and your dh was home for everything.

Honestly not too bad other than being sore and tired. Ended up getting a few short stretches of sleep but DH said he would make sure I got a nap and a full night tonight 🙂
Yay namasteak! Congrats and I’m so glad he’s here and your H was here for it when all was said and done. Also, ITA re: pitocin contractions! The worst.... but over now! Enjoy your snuggly little one.
Thank you so much for checking in on us. Baby arrived last Wednesday night! It was a mentally tough labor and delivery and several days post birth, but much better now that we’ve been home a few days (and said f$&k it to the breastfeeding). I’ll try to do a post later tonight, but am really enjoying the baby cuddles right now 💕 😀

Amazing! So happy to read this. I really struggled with breastfeeding too, eventually EFF. Take care and enjoy the snuggles! But also feel free to not enjoy every waking moment - the newborn stage is hard and wanting to feel grateful all the time for your take home baby can be exhausting.

I'm so bummed, I just got my glucose results back and they were elevated and now I have to go back for the 3 hour. Not to mention about 10 minutes before the blood draw, I was feeling super light-headed, nauseous and just plain awful. I assume it's going to be a million times worse drinking 100g of that crap than just the 50g of it. I guess I'm not entirely surprised since I periodically have issues that seem blood sugar related, but this sucks
