I haven’t been to the derm for a while (like 18 months). I have tried a lot of retinols but I think my face does best with Retin-a. I doubt my derm would even call it in right? I don’t want to pay a 50.00 co pay to just get Retin-a when I don’t have any other issues. I went in last month to my ob. Do you think they would call in a prescription for me? Any other ideas on how to get Retin-a that are legit? I’ve thought about online pharmacies but I get scared 😂😬😳
Curoulogy is legit but it’s also $40 every 2/3 months so it’s pejbablt more cost effective to go in honestly?
I get Retin-A in my Curology formula. If you tell them you want an anti-aging formula and you've used Retin-A before they will make a mix of different anti-aging ingredients.
I've been using Curology for a few months now and am happy with it. They will adjust your prescription whenever you need/want it adjusted. I got it because I was breaking out, but once that healed up I asked for more anti-aging and they've had no issue increasing my Retin-A.

mfluder and mortomo - what's in your mix? I have been looking into this company. I am thinking about starting retinol but I am hesitating because of brow waxing.

My current mix is:
. 018% tretinoin 1% clindamycin 8% azelaic acid
I need to ask to have my anti aging ingredients increased again. They started me out low on Tretinoin because it had been a few years since I had used it.
I don't get my brows waxed that often, but when I do I avoid the area around my brows, so most of my forehead. I start avoiding about 3 to 4 wks prior to waxing and haven't had a problem.

mortomo - I wax every four weeks. I wish I had never started. My brows are a hot mess since my younger days when I got some really bad wax jobs. From what I have been reading, it is suggested to stop using retinol at least seven days prior to waxing. Really that means I would only be using my retinol product two and half weeks of every month. Not sure there is a benefit. I've looked into threading but I am not sure that would help with the random hair I have growing.

Threading is awesome, and they can do your entire face so they can definitely get your random hairs.

Sorry for delay!
Mine is .04% tret (i asked for an increase), 1% Clindamycin, 7% Azelaic Acid.
This is definitely a YMMV, do at your own risk, but I have brow waxed with it before. Now, I’ve been told my skin is kind of “thick” (and even so, yes tret did take some adjustment). I had a place that was great, and then lady knew me and that I actually used tret, and only did the bottom of the brow with wax. I keep trying to explain that to where I moved, but they can never seem to follow that instruction. So I admit I have stopped, because it wasn’t worth the risk. (They did do the top, and it was fine, it just made me nervous lol).
I’ve read there is seepage, if you will, that even if you dont put it around your brow, it pulls throughout your face. I’m just saying I survived lol.
