Beach Book Club Help

DH gets to pick the book for our beach trip this year.  There's 9 adults - men and women ages 37 to 70.  Looking for recommendations for a good beach read that will appeal to the "masses".

That’s an interesting challenge. What have you done before that worked well? I’d probably go for nonfiction — maybe Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods?

An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth by Chris Hadfield was a fun one my book club read. Both men and women in my book club liked it and it was a nice easy read.

Chris Hadfield was fighter pilot turned astronaut and commander of the International Space Station. He posted a lot of YouTube videos from his time on the space station, too, which are fun to watch. Just a lot of different things I learned that I never would have thought about preparing to go to space and the effects on the body in space that were interesting to discuss with each other.

I would go with non-fiction. Some suggestions:

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
Bad Blood by John Carreyrou

My male coworker read my copy of Daisy Jones and the Six and liked it, so if you want fiction, that’s an option!
