I’m moving in a week so I spent last weekend finishing up alllll the projects I can so that I can pack up my machine.
A pillow for a guild swap:
My finished jelly roll race charity quilt:
Finally my Sister’s finished baby quilt. It’s huge (54x54”) but came together fairly easily. I used the Fireside Minky for the backing and I am not a fan. So slippery and difficult to quilt.
I also finished a nursing/maternity dress for my Sister but it’s in black ponte and doesn’t photograph well on me. I’m making both of us skin to skin hoodies next for wearing both our babies come the fall.

The last of the teacher gifts, and one birthday gift for a classmate of my daughter’s that evidently reminded L of her birthday in May and asked if I’d make her one of the kittycorn bookmarks. Once I quit laughing and had all of the teacher gifts done, I stitched it out really quickly.
The teachers loved their gifts this year. I especially like the planner pocket with the zipper. And so did the GT teacher. She got so excited.
I made this skin to skin top for myself to pattern test before I cut into super nice fabric I got for my Sister’s version. Incredibly, my serger which I haven’t used in 6 months didn’t wrinkle a single seam, which was great, because all my instruction books have been packed for the move.
It has a sort of pocket in the front to support the baby with just one hand for kangaroo care and nursing. So cute!

That’s such a neat idea! I just sat around naked with a blanket, lol.

That’s what I did the first time around as well. This is very much an I feel bad for making nothing for my second child project.

I am pretty defeated. I somehow did some weird twist when I separated the sleeves for my sweater and just knit right through it. I had to start completely over after 5 months of work.

Noooooo! Are you sure it needs to be completely frogged? I have cut the thread and removed a section in the middle and then jointed them before when I made a horrific mistake with an intarsia pattern before.

There is no way to fix it unfortunately. I started over and am just knitting off the existing sweater. It's fine, it will be ready to wear this winter

That orange plaid is one of my favorite fabrics ever. I used it in so many quilts.
