2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
3. Questions for the group?
4. Any big Father's Day plans?
1. 13w2d 2. Feeling crummy today and Sat, a lot of nausea. Thought I was over that but it’s back. Probably need to tell work in the next few weeks. 3. None. 4. I’ll call my out if state dad and let him know he has another grandbaby on the way. H did nothing for Mother’s Day, I think we’ll just celebrate next year.
humpforfree , Z has been to every appt of mine so far, mostly because I'm not getting a sitter every time. He generally just sat quietly on a chair and played on his tablet for most of them. But the last one where we found out the gender, he wanted to see "his baby" as he calls her and he loved being able to watch. I think if your kiddos will understand what's going on and enjoy it, bring them!
Thank you! L went to all of them last time, but he wasn’t even a year and a half, so he was oblivious and just sat there out of the way with a book. I didn’t know if it would be frowned upon to bring the older ones 😂
*jumping in even though I don't go here anymore*
I would recommend checking with the office/lab/hospital before you bring them. The hospital that did all of my scans allowed children in the room but had a limit of two extra people total, including children of any age.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I REALLY need to get moving on setting up a space for this poor child. we have nothing ready. Sorry, second kid!
3. Questions for the group? What should I name my baby? lol
4. Any big Father's Day plans? No... thinking about dinner the day before. On Fathers day we will go to church and then probably go see my grandpa. Unless H wants to go to ILs. I'm too tired to plan, I don't even have a gift yet!
35 weeks this week and baby is still breech. Next week my doctor will discuss options- version or a c section. I’m not really a fan of either. I’m worried something will go wrong with the version and is not know until it’s too late and c section recovery scares the shit out of me. Ugh. Why won’t she just flip!!
Any c section recovery stories?
My c-section recovery was relatively easy. I was pretty much back to normal after a week and a half or so. The key for me was to get up and walk as soon as possible and as much as possible after DS was born (he was in the NICU for a week, so I had a lot of opportunity to walk over to see him). I was walking around that night. You will need help picking baby up, pad with pillows, it's tough to laugh or cough, but it really wasn't bad at all.

1. How far along are you this week? 25 + 2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I've been having tons of cramping over the weekend, but after drinking a ton of water last night and today I finally feel better. It's going to be a long hot summer. I'm really enjoying feeling baby boy moving around more and more as he's getting bigger! And, we're finally making progress on our registry which is good since my friends are trying to nail down a shower date for me.
3. Questions for the group? Not really
4. Any big Father's Day plans? We're driving to my in-laws Saturday/Sunday 1000 miles away. So, we'll have a family dinner Sunday night to celebrate father's day and my step-son's birthday that's this Friday. We'll be there 4.5 days and so far, I think I've narrowed down our schedule to only spending 2 full days with them, but I'm still trying to think of some more plans to reduce the time further! I'm ultimately not looking forward to spending several days with them since they were just here 2 weeks ago and the visit wasn't the greatest.
zarapipe I have had two c sections now. Both have been easy recoveries. The first I would say the first had a rougher first day or two, but faster recovery overall. The second had an easier initial recovery but seems to be dragging on a bit more as I have some lingering tenderness and pulling on one side.
I'm currently 10 days postpartum. I haven't bled for several days and went for a half mile walk yesterday. Only problem is I can't lift more than 10 pounds, ie DS1, for two weeks.
2. Still pregnant. Induction today! I was on the fence about just waiting a few more days but decided just to go for it today. Hoping to still go med free. Starting misoprostil shortly.
3. Nope
4. Hopefully H takes DS somewhere fun. I am not planning anything with a 1 week old.
Hope your induction went well jade, and I hope you were able to go med free!

1. How far along are you this week? 41+4 today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Tried to get a stretch and sweep yesterday, but my cervix is still high and closed. I am booked for induction tomorrow.
3. Questions for the group? Any STMs induced when fully closed and not have a days long labor?
4. Any big Father's Day plans? Nothing planned and my husband's birthday is the day before so hopefully we are home with a baby before Saturday.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
Had my appointment with a new doctor yesterday since mine suddenly retired. She was very nice but I definitely felt rushed. They had to scramble to cover for all of my doctors patients though so I’m not too mad about it. When getting the heartbeat, she said she’d never had a baby kick the machine that hard. Apparently I’m growing a very feisty little lady in there.
Taking my 3 hour test again this weekend. Fingers crossed.
3. Questions for the group? Nope!
4. Any big Father's Day plans? Not yet. I keep asking DH if he wants to go to brunch or dinner or go to my parents camp for the weekend and he keeps ignoring me so. Whatever, man.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Went to the OB yesterday and while girlfriend looks good my BP is creeping up. It's not close to danger zone status yet, but she still had me pee in a cup (no protein) and get labs (all within normal range according to the online portal) so that's good. I still had to buy a BP monitor to check my BP 2x/day, and go back to see her Thursday afternoon. Now I'm stressing about all the stuff we still need to do to be ready for this baby and the possibility that I might go early. Blech.
3. Questions for the group? Any STM+ have to deal with gestational hypertension at the end of the third tri? Did you end up getting induced more than a week before your due date or were you ok with close monitoring?
4. Any big Father's Day plans? Ha, nope. J is working. If he's lucky and I'm feeling up to it I may take AJ to go visit him at lunchtime. He worked Mother's Day too and while I got some quiet time the day before, I didn't actually get a gift so I'm not exactly motivated to go out of my way here (He really is not nearly as horrible as that last sentence makes him sound, he just sucks at remembering gift for things that are NOT Christmas)

I don't go here but saw this and wanted to offer some words of encouragement. I was induced, with my second, at 41 weeks. They started Pitocin at about 6 pm. Around 10 pm, my cervix was still so high that they couldn't even determine if I was dilated at all. They didn't even want to give me an epidural but I begged for one because I was in so much pain. Around 10:30 pm, as they were placing it, my water broke and I went from 0-10 within the hour and my daughter was born at 12:06 am, after 3 minutes of pushing. It was FAST!
My first, I went into labor on my own at 40+6. I had a 13 hour labor with 3 hours of pushing.
Good luck! I'm sorry you're still this pregnant. It sucks!
Oh I thought of a question. Did any other AMA moms have to do the 1 hour glucose TWICE? I passed it around 17 or 18 weeks (iirc? Might’ve been earlier, I remember thinking it was awfully early), and at my appointment last week the midwife said I’ll need to do it again I think between 24-28 (?) weeks, but that she prefers closer to 28 if I can do it then.
I felt horrific after the last one for over a day, I’m already dreading having to do it again.
I’m 38 and have to do it twice. I did my first at 18 weeks and passed so I thought I was done, but my dr told me this past Friday that I would need to repeat at 24 weeks ☹️. Something about placental development? Anyways, I am a little bummed because I had mentally crossed that worry off my list. I felt fine after mine though - sorry you felt poorly! Can you bring a high protein snack to eat right after?

I did it twice, but I had a history of GD with my first. Thankfully I passed both this time around.

Still at it! Spent all day yesterday with no progress. They placed cervadil at 11 last night and contractions started getting real around 4am. Hopefully not too much longer.
I was only 1cm and 50% when we started so I guess that is how it goes.

I hope you're snuggling baby now (or very soon!). I spent almost 2 days with no progress then BAM, I went from 2 to 10 cms in ~3 hours. It can happen quickly at the end!

I didn't have to (I'm at almost 35 weeks now), sorry you have to

zarapipe, My first c-section followed a very long labor and I was so glad to be done. The first day/night were a challenge, but I would say I got my strength back pretty quickly. It's definitely not as horrible as it seems. I would say I was 90% back to my usual self at 2 weeks postpartum. It will go even better if you don't have a difficult labor leading up to surgery. Good luck! I hope she flips!

Ended up taking the big kids to my 12w US this morning. We were prepared to just have H sit in the lobby with them since they had a two additional people max, but the tech invited them back. They watched the whole ultrasound and didn’t pick up on the tech saying baby or talking about the body parts 🤣 We took them to dunkin after and explained. They are pretty excited- they’ve been asking for a new baby for a year.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We told DS he’s having a brother last night and he was SO excited!! We even let him open the envelope from our clinic which tells us the sex. We are having another boy!
3. Questions for the group? My fellow TTTCers - those endometrin inserts are the suck, no? I can’t wait for the 27th and I can be a normal pregnant person.
4. Any big Father's Day plans? We are telling our immediate families this weekend and we are going to the beach with ILs/my parents on Saturday.

Any c section recovery stories?
I had a semi planned c-section (no labor) and the recovery was harder than I expected. I don’t know if it was bc DS was so big or the fact that I had pre-eclampsia the day of my csection. I felt pretty good by 6 weeks. Make sure they give you one of those belly binders and stay on top of your pain meds.

I did, but it was because I had GD in my first pregnancy, not because I was AMA. In my 2nd pregnancy I did it at around 11-12 weeks, and again at the normal time at 26. The range is 24-28 weeks, but my OB said don't do it until 26+ because <26 might give a false negative.
I think the 3 hour test is a nightmare, but I have done the 1 hour test 3x now and didn't find it to be all that bad because I didn't have to fast for it. Hopefully it is not as bad this time for you.
I also failed the the 1 hour glucose test this week. Now I have to squeeze the 3 hr in before we leave next week for vacation. I expected to fail since I had GD last time, but I'm still disappointed.

When I talked to the nurse yesterday, she really wanted me to get the 3 hour done by next Friday, but we leave tomorrow for my in-laws and there's no way I could fit that in today, so they'll have to settle for the Monday after.
For those that failed the 1 hr glucose test, do you literally sit around the lab waiting room for 3 hours? I'll definitely be planning to bring something to occupy my time a book, possibly my laptop to do some work. Also, since it's fasting, what would be your recommended go-to snack for once the last draw at 3 hours is done? I feel like I ate fairly higher protein stuff after my 1 hour to balance things back out, but it left me feeling like crap and I still don't feel like my body has gotten quite back to normal yet.

When I had to do the 3 hour my last pregnancy, they made you drink the glucola in the office (for my 1 hour I was allowed to drink it at home), then sit around for 3 hours. I wasn't even allowed to leave the office. TBH, I felt really shitty, so I was happy to just sit there. After about hour 2 I started feeling better.
I would suggest high protein and water afterwards. Maybe take some turkey or ham and cheese rollups, or some nuts. I like those balanced breaks snacks, too.

My lab let me go back to my car so I set an alarm and dozed off, listened to podcasts, read in between draws.

Yep, farfalla2011. I did mine at a Quest lab and they had an extra procedure room with a bed they offered me. It really helped to lay down and doze between draws. Ask if that's a possibility. I didn't feel like reading really so I laid down and played on my phone.
When it was over I had a PB sandwich on wheat bread.
Sorry--the test stinks, but it wasn't that bad. Unfortunately, I failed that one too. Haha

I am so stinkin congested I can’t hardly stand it. Does anyone have any good tips to help or OTC meds that work since I can’t take any of the good stuff??
