Someone else needs to post their Revel referral link! Enough people from here have ordered and I have more points than I’ll need for a while, so I’m trying to delete mine
Yes please, someone else post one! 😊TIA
And thank you lemoncupcake for all the info and being willing to share.
The Dipalicious peel off base worked well. I got 6 days out of it and it came off easily without soaking or damaging my nails. I put it on a little different when I re-did them on Saturday with the hope they will last a little longer and still pop off without damage.
I'm also loving the gel/dip powder method. They are thinner, smoother and shiner than when I used dip liquids (picture below is 3 dips). Sorry my pics are so huge and I just realized how dry my cuticles are right now.

What brand are you using for gel? I also love how shiny and smooth it comes out but they start peeling off so quickly for me. That even happened back when I used to go to the salon. I’ve tried curing the underside as well but it hasnt helped.
Can you share how you did the peel off? Ive done UNT but I find that It will still tear up the part of your nail that it wasnt applied to.

I do cap the free edge with the top coat. I've never done gel polish, just gel liquids with powder dip, but haven't had a peeling issue (except for when I use peel base, but that lasted almost a week before starting to peel). I have strong nails that are not oily at all, so dip/gel stays put.
I don't know if you can view this or not since it's posted in the Dipalicious private FB group. It shows how to use peel base. I used the method she posted for longer lasting manicures: www.facebook.com/jerinae.friedman/videos/10158286063343319/
I put a coat on 2/3 of my nail (1/3 without peel base is the 1/3 by the cuticle), let dry. Did 1/3 coat at the tip of my nail, let dry. Then I dipped as usual using the gel liquids with the powder. To remove I filed the free edge so there wasn't anything capping my edges. I used a flosser with a pick end and got the pick under the edge of my dip near the tip and worked it under the dip slowly. Take the flosser end and get it under the peeled dip and slowly wiggle it to loosen the dip. Mine just popped off without any resistance. I've seen videos where people put oil or alcohol under the loose edge and let it sit for a minute and then use the flosser end to wiggle off the dip.
I had tried UNT, but couldn't get it to work. I had to soak it off unless I coated my entire nail, then it popped off the same day (I didn't use the same method that I just posted). I'm impressed so far with the Dipalicious peel base.
mortomo What’s the purpose of the peel base? I’d be so worried that a nail would pop off at an inopportune time.
It prevents you from having to soak your nails in acetone or using a drill/file to remove your dip or gel polish. Mine lasted 6 days before they started to peel up on the edges. Only one nail started to peel up and it was my thumb, so a nail that takes some abuse.
I have been having my nails dipped for 18 months now. I’ve been doing my own dip nails since March, but I thought I’d try the Revel nail products. I got it in the mail this week and used it yesterday. I hate it. I followed the directions to a T. When I used the Pro base though, it would pull off some of the previous dip powder, leaving my nails streaky and bumpy. I buffed and filed them but they still look bumpy.
I liked the powder itself, so I’ll use that again. But for the other products, I am going to stick with the ASP products from Sally Beauty.

I use a brush, and it seems to help.
Thanks, I did use a brush between each coat to get the excess off my skin. It’s okay though. Even though I spent the money on this, I have certainly saved a lot of money these months by doing my own nails.
