What are you training for? Date? State Track/Velodrome Championships this weekend, weekly racing is ongoing
Training schedule for the week? Sunday: 3.5 hour gravel ride death march Monday: Yoga Tuesday: Trainer Ride (racing rained out) Wed.: Easy 75-90 minute ride Thursday: Off Friday-Saturday: Track State Championships Sunday: Easy Ride TBD
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Rain. More rain. I'm ready for some dry days! There is a possibility of rain & thunderstorms most afternoon in ATL in the summer.
Any AW's or brags? I finished Sunday's ride. It was one of the hardest rides I have done this year.
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? Love! I love not having to wear 3-4 layers to ride--just shorts and a jersey. Also the pool! I don't have access to one, but a friend hosts a couple of pool parties each summer. Her pool is amazing! (and I'm grateful she invites all of all us over.) I love wearing shorts and t-shirt. I even love my cycling farmer's tan. I love summer! Even with the heat and humidity in the south. I love summer!
What are you training for? Date? Fit foodie 5K Saturday, Colonial Beach Sprint Tri 7/14, JFK 50 miler
Training schedule for the week? Mon - 5 mi, Tues - swim, Wed - 8 mi, Thur - 1hr bike trainer + strength, Fri - Rest, Sat - 7 mi + 5K, Sun - 90 min trail?
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I'm contemplating DNSing my sprint tri. DS' birthday party has to be that weekend and we're planning on Sat night. So it's going to be a pain in the ass to host a sleepover (where DS has already said he plans to stay up all night playing video games), then get up super early to do the sprint tri. I'm feeling very blah about the whole thing anyways. The swim is probably going to be pretty rough and there may be jellyfish. I've been seriously slacking on the bike and haven't done any bricks. It's going to be very hot as well.
But it's only a sprint so how bad can it be? Also I have some friends doing it too so it will be fun to see them. I'm torn on what to do, I may wait to see what the weather is going to be like to decide. It would be my only triathlon this year. I don't have time in my training schedule to do another one. I so wish it was on Saturday. It would make things so much easier!
Any AW's or brags? I had a really great weekend camping at Assateague. The beach was beautiful and we had a whole crew of friends from our neighborhood come as well so the kids were entertained the entire time. The ponies were fun to watch and came right up to the campsite even tried to steal our bacon at one point. The wind was a little crazy and claimed one kite and one brand new canopy . But other than that it was a stellar weekend and we already booked for next year with like 16 people from our neighborhood.
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? I love summer! I love being outside and the long days. I love the pool and the way our neighborhood comes alive. I also love the simplicity of dressing. Tank top, shorts, sandals. Done!

What are you training for? Date? Wineglass Half Marathon 10/6
Training schedule for the week? Mon: yoga Tues: yoga and first run with training group. Yahoo! Wed: rest Thurs: 2.5 mi run Friday: yoga Saturday: 4 mi run Sunday: 30 min run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! So far, so good!
Any AW's or brags? We had an evaluation last night as part of our first training run. Previously, my fastest mile was an 8:43. We had to do a race pace mile to help out with determining our training pace. I did an 8 minute mile. I thought that maybe I was a *little* faster than 8:43, but didn't think I'd shave 43 seconds off. And, we ran to the track and did drills so I was a little tired.
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? Hate for training (55 degree running weather is my jam) but love it for everything else! We will often have drinks on our patio and make a fire in the fire pit.

What are you training for? Date? Queen City Half 7/27 Chicago Marathon 10/13
Training schedule for the week? Monday: 5 miles Tues: Rest Wed: 5.5 miles with intervals Thurs: 4 miles Fri: 4.5 miles Sat: rest/family day Sun: 12 miles
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I hate intervals. HATE. I’m sure they are helping me somehow, but I feel like I suck at them. Today’s were especially bad, given the 99% humidity.
Any AW's or brags? I really like having a coach. He looked at my sucky intervals today, agreed that the humidity caused some problems and then said that he might have given me a target that was too tough. It’s nice that he was responsive to this and can help tailor my training plan to me so I don’t get too discouraged.
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? Love summer. LOVE. I love the sun, the heat, the time at the pool. Even though the heat slows me down, I’d ALWAYS rather run in the heat than the cold. I miss living in Florida where it was basically summer year round.

What are you training for? Date? Scenic Shore Ride 150m 7/20 & 7/21 Fall marathon ..?
Training schedule for the week? M- Run 6 T- Bike 35 W- Run 6/ core T- Bike 10 F- Rest S- Run 8 S- Bike 20
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I think I'm going to do Twin Cities marathon this fall - I've been going back and forth from this & Madison. Ugh.. I've been battling with H over our October schedule. I should probably make a decision because I am meeting with a running specialist for a 16 week training plan tomorrow..
Any AW's or brags? I've hit my 15 mph goal on my last 3 bike rides!
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? Huge fan of summer! I love spending time outside, camping vacations, summer beers, wearing shorts for running, and summer footwear.
What are you training for? Date? - NJ State Tri Relay 7/21 (hi @vtcupcake!), Oly tri 7/28, 1/3 IM 8/25, 70.3 9/14, and Wineglass.
Training schedule for the week? - Mon: 2700 swim, Tues 1:30 ride, 15 min Brick, Wed: 1:10 run, Thurs: Bonus rest day, Fri: 40 min speedwork, Sat: 1:30 ride, 15 min Brick, Sun: Rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - I feel like I’m sliding backwards in my run progress. I am having the hardest time doing my easy runs. I’m trying to do them at what I think they *should* be, and not what easy actually is. I know they are important so I’m trying to break that habit. - I’m also tired. Really tired. Which makes no sense.
Any AW's or brags? - We did run power testing and I was exactly where I was the last time we tested before TX. That made me feel better.
Bonus: Summer is here! Love or hate? What's your favorite thing about summer, H&F or non H&F? - I like summer, but it’s not my favorite season. Favorite thing? It stays light so late here and I love it.
Training for - omg, I'm so excited to say things other than biking... Oly Tri! 7/13, Century (or half? we haven't decided yet) 7/21, weekend shakedown bike trip 8/17, big bike trip 8/31
M - weights T - ran AM W - goofed around on my bike a bit testing out new saddle and making sure sensors were working Th - uhh...rest? Maybe weights. Houseguest arriving. F - Run AM Sa - Swim AM, Run PM? Su - Bike
Issues - just frustrated with my own laziness. I was so very happy to have more time for running and swimming but I've been struggling to get back into the swing of both.
AW - Swimming in open water continues to be something that makes me happy. I'm not fast, but I can just...keep going. For a while. Conditions weren't fantastic, I was getting slapped in the face by chop for a bit and the water was a tad bit brisk, but I still swam my 1000ish meters without any fuss.
Summer - I hate sweating. I love that the sun is up. So it's a complicated relationship.
I just wanted to say that I'm not really training for anything right now, and my workouts have been a hodgepodge mess, but you all give me hope! Maybe when DS goes back to school in the fall I'll get back to a good routine.
We were traveling and in Tampa. I worked out 2 of the 4 days we were there and did a lot of walking around town. Healthy eating was a bit challenged during these days as well. Two days good, two days not healthy and lots of cocktails. I feel bad but... no use... We are going to Grenada on Monday night. One of the reasons I was trying to get back into shape (looking okay in a bikini).
I plan to go for a run or walk later today (first I need to do some serious catch up on my review of an article and a chapter I am writing). Fri: bike ride after work. Sat. run or walk. Sun. hike.
