1. How far along are you this week? 32+4
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm starting to get really sluggish. My evening walks with the dog take a lot longer. This weekend I pulled a million weeds and I legit am waddling today. It feels like I road a horse for 4 days.
Also--I seriously pee at least 5 times per night. It's ridiculous.
It's supposed to warm up a lot this week. I hope I don't melt.
I have an u/s tomorrow. Curious to see if baby is breech like DS1 was.
3. Questions for the group? Nah
4. Any big 4th of July plans? Not for the 4th but the weekend before we're heading to the beach with some friends. I'm so excited!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We started to look at baby stuff (gliders, strollers, car seats) this weekend and DH was totally overwhelmed by how many choices there are and how expensive it can get. And of course we like the most expensive glider 😬
3. Questions for the group? Any opinions on the Nuna Mixx vs Uppababy Vista strollers?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? Hang out in the AC and sedate the dog, lol. Poor thing gets so freaked out. We may swing by a neighbor’s bbq for a bit.

1. How far along are you this week? 27+2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I took my 3 hr GS this morning. Surprisingly, I didn't feel quite as bad as the first time I took it? I'm still annoyed that I had to do that this morning instead of sleeping in since we got home last night after an exhausting week with in-laws and a day with my mother. Only positive of the last week is I was in CO where the weather was GORGEOUS. Now I'm back at home in a constant sauna and I seriously am not sure I'll make it to September.
3. Questions for the group?
How do you deal with complicated family dynamics? I am dreading all the visits later this year after our son is here especially after the visits we just had.
Scenario 1 - MIL is a total judgmental asshat and if you don't agree with her on absolutely everything, you're an idiot and are wrong. These feelings brought to you from 2 visits in less than a month where we've gotten into it. AND talking with H, she's even worse with her baby advice.
Scenario 2 - my mother. Her on her own is fine, however, after seeing her this weekend, H & I agree that my step-father is likely not going to be welcome in our house, at least not until he truly is getting help for his alcoholism.
4. Any big 4th of July plans? No, I have to work. But, that means I don't have to work that Saturday! So, I guess that's a good thing? When 4th of July & New Years come around, I really start wondering why I picked the career I did since I'm an accountant (not tax) and am stupidly tied to the calendar.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm nesting and scrubbed my kitchen floors by hand yesterday. I think I over did it because my hips and back hurt. Saw my high risk doctor last week who said that other than my amnio saying he has down syndrome and minimal fluid around him, there are no other signs of anything wrong. He has no major medical issues and no major deformity. He's a healthy boy with a strong heart beat of 151.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? We are going to our local minor league baseball game on the 4th that has become a new tradition with my boys. Then leaving Friday for a camping trip and will be gone until Monday. I'm so excited about plopping my fat pregnant rear end on a float and just relaxing with not a care in the world. We are near the private beach of the camp ground which means it will be blocked off from the wake and I won't have to worry too much about the kids going too far out.

icedcoffee - I'm joining you in the melting camp! Last week - thankfully we were out of town - the heat index was around 110 And it's only June.
fairfax - you are definitely not alone! The number of options for all the baby stuff out there is nuts! I'm still not done with my registry because I quickly become overwhelmed when I start looking.
boymomof2 - I'm so happy to hear that everything else is looking good with your little guy.

1. 31 weeks
2. Had a check up and u/s today. Placenta has moved from my cervix, yay! He is weighing in at 4lbs 3oz and doing great. Still head down but flipped to the right side. His head is right at my cervix lol. No space in there, sorry baby! So happy he is growing as I’ve been worried. Can’t believe how quickly time is flying but at the same time, the weeks feel long. They aren’t doing the rhogam shot, which is weird, but probably some Dutch thing. 🤷🏽♀️
I am also melting. It is hot as hell here and no a/c. Tomorrow is hotter. I look forward to the “cool down” on Wednesday.
4. We don’t celebrate July 4th. July 1 is Canada day so I’ll try to find some festivities or something.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Not PG related but H bought plane tickets to Paris in Aug! I'll be 32 weeks so I'm a little worried I'll be too pregnant and hot to enjoy it but called my Dr. and got the all-clear health-wise to go, and I'll schedule my appt that month probably right before we go just so I'll know I was recently checked out haha. I'm excited! We got a screaming deal ($683 for us both from Salt Lake to Paris) that he couldn't pass up haha.
3. Questions for the group? Other than compression stockings for the flights, any recs for travelling hugely pregnant?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? Not yet, I guess I'll probably take DS swimming and maybe we'll smoke some meat or something. The next weekend we have a long weekend in southern Utah planned with my mom and sister so I'm more excited for that haha

1. How far along are you this week? 20+5
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm still not really showing... like, I switched to maternity jeans, since mine were hurting at the waist, but I just look like I ate too many tacos. On Sunday I was wearing a non-maternity dress and some sweet ladies were walking behind me - one whispered to the other "I thought she was expecting?" and the other said "I did too... maybe we heard wrong."
No doubt that the comments/questions when you're visibly pregnant get old but I think because this took 10 years to happen, and it's probably my one and only chance, I'm just anxious to actually LOOK it.
3. Questions for the group? If you opted for no epidural and/or labor in the water, did you attend any classes? Or are there books that would be worth a read?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? I'd love to hit the beach but hate crowds so we'll see. I used to stay home to be with my dogs during fireworks but neither hear them anymore :/
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I PASSED MY 3HR GTT! I'm shocked but so happy about it.
3. Questions for the group? For those who had GD for previous pregnancies and then passed the tests early on in another pregnancy: did your OB make you retake the test again later on to make sure nothing changed? I've heard of that before, but havent had the chance to ask my OB if theyll make me do this. Curious what others had to do. Susie I know you were in this same position with both your pregnancies so maybe you can share your experience!
4. Any big 4th of July plans? Not really. We'll find some place to watch fireworks and maybe so some small ones of our own, but that's about it.
slcjess, I flew between Europe and US at 25, 28 and 34 weeks in my last pregnancy. Honestly it wasn't awful, I just got up and peed often and stretched my legs. My OB recommended compression tights to help keep away blood clots and I drank an obscene amount of water to counteract dehydration. Otherwise, it wasnt any harder than making that flight not pregnant. Have fun!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Anatomy scan looked good on Friday! Both my kids have abnormal kidneys so I was expecting that to be an issue, but they look fine on this babe.
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. Any big 4th of July plans? My ILs live on a lake that does a firework display, so we’ll go over to hang on the water and watch the show.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Not too much. I started to get charlie horses when sleeping the past week which sucks, I've never had those before. Seems they can be related to a lack of exercise which I have been a bit lazy about lately so I'm trying to get my butt back in gear now . Also finally feeling the urge to do something about the musical-chairs that need to be played with the rooms in our house to make room for a nursery, so will be getting started on that in the next few weeks.
3. Questions for the group? Following fairfax for feedback on those two strollers as well. I am also trying to decide between the Uppababy Mesa and Nuna Pipa carseats - does anyone have feedback on those?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? H and I are headed to Hawaii for a little babymoon. We have a newer business and it's the first time he has been able to get away for vacation in the past year so I am very excited! . He's never been to Hawaii and I have only been once for work, so it should be a new experience. I'm looking forward to beaching myself.

So both my SILs have the Nuna car seats, which they LOvE. And while out this weekend we checked out the Nuna Pipa Lite, which really is very light. So I’m leaning towards Nuna for the car seat, but I think I like the Uppababy Vista stroller better. Which is fine as they make adapters, but also I like all my stuff to match... Both SILs also have the Nuna stroller so I know they’re great. I’m still undecided though...
WinterWine we are in Hawaii right now and I feel like this is the perfect stage of pregnancy to come! I feel great and forget I'm pregnant most days. What islands are you visiting? We've been in Maui and are hopping over to Oahu tomorrow.

We are going to Kauai! We like to hike, and my husband can’t chill on a beach to save his life, so I’m hoping to will be a good mix of active hiking and me relaxing in the beach. We’re usually more into Mexico or Central America, but with Zika our options were limited so I’m hoping we both like it. Glad to hear it’s a good time to go in terms of pregnancy stage. I hope you are having fun!

1. How far along are you this week? 7w+ 4
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I’m sooo tired. I caught myself falling asleep at my desk at work today 😳.
3. Questions for the group? Will I really need a double stroller? Dd will be turning 2 the week of my due date. I have a city mini GT that the baby car seat clips into if necessary, but I could also baby wear if Dd is in the stroller...I have no clue how I’ll feel about that later.
In my 2nd pregnancy, my OB had me take the 1 hr. test between my 9 week and 12 week appointments (I think I took it at 10 weeks). I passed with a number in the 90s. That basically ruled out pre-existing/undiagnosed type 2 diabetes, since the placenta isn't big enough for it to really be GD at that stage of pregnancy if you fail.
Then they had me retake the 1 hr. test at the normal time, between 24-28 weeks. I got the script at my 24w appointment, but with a history of GD they were careful to instruct that although I had the script I should wait at least 2 more weeks so that I didn't actually take it until 26+ weeks. If I took it earlier they said I could get a false negative, since GD is progressive. I took it right at 26 weeks and passed with another number in the 90s.
That was the end of that! They kept an eye out for sugar in my urine (never became a problem), but they would do that regardless. I didn't have to take the test again in 3rd tri. My first (GD) baby was 7 lb. 1 oz. at 39w2d, and my second (non-GD) baby was 7 lb. 8 oz. at 39w3d.

I passed the three hour at ... I don't remember how many weeks. 13-15 weeks or so? Had to retake at 25 weeks and failed.
@knx921q and Susie thanks for sharing your experiences! I realize I'm probably not 100% in the clear and may still end up with it, but relieved to not have to worry about it just yet.
I was between 18-19 weeks when I passed the 3hr last week, so I'll have to ask at my anatomy scan appt next week if I'll have to retake it again later on.

chocolatepie, I obviously haven’t given birth yet but I am going pain med free, labouring in a tub, and potentially aiming for a water birth. Hypnobirthing is really good and teaches you a great mindset. I also have liked Ina May’s book and highly recommend it for this kind of birth.

WinterWine, we got the nuna pipa based on great reviews. Also it is the lightest one really out there and doesn’t require a base which were essentials for us. However, they come out with the bugaboo turtle by nuna soon and I would wait to get that one because it looks amazing. I wish I knew that would come out because I want it but alas the Nuna pipa is still amazing.
Also I considered uppababy Cruz but it didn’t fit my needs here. I think UB is definitely more a North American stroller (where you have a car and can drive). We got a Bugaboo because it is light and better made for an urban lifestyle and maneuvering European streets.
dock, I think many of my big baby purchases can be considered “frivolous” but I don’t care because I plan to reuse it and even if I didn’t, I wanted those items. Some would die at what we spent on our stroller and car seat (probably even bassinet). Lol.
slcjess , get a seat near a bathroom and just walk a lot. It’s honestly not that bad. I took 12 flights this pregnancy, some 10-11 hours long.
Good to hear its do-able! We went to Brazil when I was 6 mo pg with DS but I'll be even MORE pregnant this time. Pray for my H
Also drink lots of water! And I’m glad you’ll have your H! That’ll help. I was alone for 10 out of 12 flights. Those 2 were the short 1 hour flights. Thanks H.
1. How far along are you this week? 37 weeks. The most pregnant I've ever been.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? C-section is tomorrow. I've been having a tough time with DS losing his only child status. But I'm ready to be done and have my body back. I've been pregnant for 18 of the last 24 months. Oh, and I also came down with a cold, so recovering from this c-section plus taking care of a newborn and toddler is going to be fun.
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. Any big 4th of July plans? We'll have a one week old, so nope.
Ugh, and DH just told me his cousin is coming tomorrow to meet the baby. Jesus fucking christ, we're going to be in the hospital for 4 days. Give us time to settle in. And when I object all he says is "it's okaaaaayyyyyy." He is so dense sometimes. And it's pissing me off.
fairfax and WinterWine, we have the UB Vista and Mesa. We got it for DS knowing that it would be able to convert to a double when we had a second kid. And we chose the Mesa carseat based on safety reviews and because it is so easy to just click into the stroller without the need for an adapter. Also, a base isn't required for the Mesa, so it's good for travel. We've been pleased with both. The Vista is really wide, though, so it can be a pain to navigate tight spaces. And it's heavy, but you get a good arm workout lifting it in and out of the car. 😉 I absolutely love the huge basket underneath, though. It was a priority for me. I can do an entire shopping trip at Target with just the stroller. It maneuvers really well, easily with one hand. When we visited my sister in Florida, we borrowed her city mini GT and I hated it. It was awkward and hard to steer compared to the UB.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I did my last day at work on Thursday and today is my first official day on pregnancy leave. I have lots of things to get done but have decided to do absolutely nothing today, there is plenty of time to get shit done. It’s so nice to be able to just relax, drink tea and watch TV or knit. As long as I’m on pregnancy leave I get to keep DS in daycare his regular hours which is awesome. I will miss my colleagues though but will go visit them sometime in the Summer.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Any big 4th of July plans? Nope (we’re not American). We also have no plans for Canada Day other than putting a Canada t-shirt on DS. This past weekend was Midsummer which is probably the closest thing to a real Swedish national day (our actual national day is earlier in June but no one cares at all) so we are done celebrating. We spent the weekend with my brother and his wife in their cottage and had a really great time.
Other than compression stockings for the flights, any recs for travelling hugely pregnant?
Get a seat as close to the toilet as possible (I normally always get the window seat but has opted for the aisle when pregnant) especially since you should drink lots and lots of water. I usually wear compression socks (it sucks as I find them really hot) but probably would have been better off with compression tights since the socks ended just below my knees and my varicose veins just above the knee acted up. Get up and move (the drinking lots and the peeing all the time really makes this happen automatically)
But I find it’s really not any worse flying pregnant than at other times (unless your flight is delayed and you suddenly have to sprint through one of the biggest airports in Europe - do not recommend, ask me how I know)
