Monday again

Hi ladies, happy July! How's everyone doing? How were your weekends? What's something you're looking forward to for this week?

My weekend was super fun. I went to a wedding it was so much fun. Friday night was a mehndi and I got a beautiful henna design on my hand. We celebrated the bride and groom and had a great night. Saturday was the black tie wedding and it was so much fun. The bride did a special bollywood dance for her husband. It was so cool and ended with her dancing with fire! It was one of the best weddings I've ever attended. My feet and legs still feel it from dancing so much.

I had a great weekend - barre with girlfriends, biked with kiddos at a new place, swam in the river on the way back, dinner with cousins, then yoga with girlfriends followed by beers and a hike, then a solo paddle board for a couple hours and an amazing sunset.

Tonight I go to a concert in another town with friends and am hoping for a relaxing night of entertainment and laughing. Oh and I'm talking to two different guys on Tinder and my BIL via text today... all named Mike/Michael. It's funny, right?

That sounds like a blast. Dancing with fire?! I'm so impressed.

As for this week. I have no plans, but I am looking forward to watching the Women's National team compete tomorrow in the World cup.

I'm glad you both had such good weekends!

I danced a ton and had private practice session on Thursday. Friday I got some errands done and then went to another dance class. I'm down TWO SIZES in uniform pants and belt! It's a great feeling.

On Saturday, I had a date that I wasn't sure going in was a date. The guy is 24. I feel weird about dating someone so much younger, but I'm trying to not overthink it yet.

Weekend was busy but really fun!

Friday night we invited our interior designer and her BF over for HH. She's a little younger than us and super cool. Seeing as she's mentioned that we are the kind of people she could be "friends" with, I decided it was worth a shot to invite her over!

Saturday was long run with my training group and then I had dinner with some friends.

Sunday this girl that I'm trying to become better friends with (she's a friend of a friend) ended up texting me and asked if I wanted to go running. So I met up with her. Then we had my sister and some other family over for a BBQ and P smoked some ribs.

I'm really looking forward to a short week this week!

I'm sooooo glad it's a short week! I took Friday off because I just don't want to work!

The weekend was good. I had dinner at my friend's house Friday night and we caught up. Saturday I went to sculpt and ran errands. It was also the 1 year anniversary of our first date, so R and I went back to the bar we met at and talked about the last year and what we've learned. Then we took his kids to fireworks. Sunday was church, errands with DS and then lots of nexflix.

Anyone doing anything fun for the 4th?

I'm also taking an extra day off this week - so my Friday will be Wednesday

Had a good weekend - did a whole lot of nothing.

My H had his pre-op appointment today. He hasn't told me much about it yet, but he made the comment that they did a lot more pre-stuff for this surgery than they did for his shoulder. It made him anxious, but his blood pressure was still good so...

I'm frustrated with the medical bills we're already getting. He's having to pay upfront for a lot. I'm grateful that he has the savings to cover it (and I'm so glad he's finally taking care of this)...but we're in the thick of it with medical billing and insurance...and he hasn't even had the surgery yet

I'm thinking about taking a sick day the day of his surgery. I don't have any personal days left, and I can only use flex time if it's 4 hours or less.

I'm also worried about the pain killers that are going to be in the house. They won't fill the Rx until after the surgery - which means it's going to be mostly up to me to get to the pharmacy, fill the RX, bring it home...and then he'll hide it? I keep thinking I could get away with just one...but I know it won't be just one...but...

Good morning! I spent the last two days moving. My new apartment is up two flights of stairs, with no elevator. This out of shape body is sorrrrre today.

Bf helped move. I love him more and more, he's just wonderful. He helped me unpack a bit last night and we're discussing what needs to be moved around, sold, etc. once he moves in in September.

Well it's clearly not Monday anymore, but here I am. Weekend was a blast - my younger brother and SIL came to visit. Good drinks and lots of laughs were had.

I intend to make this an unofficial short week - everyone but me took off. While I'm technically everyone's out of office contact, I'm not expecting much to happen, since everyone we interact with is off, too. So I intend to work half days tomorrow and Friday, just answering emails as they come in and doing whatever the heck I want the rest of the time.

I finally got my butt in gear and called my contractor for an estimate on finishing my kitchen (we replaced the counters before vacation in May, and we need backsplash and flooring now). He came out today, so we should have his estimate in a day or two. I'll be glad not to be staring at the ugly space above our pretty new counters where the old counter/integrated backsplash was ripped off the wall. We have at least 3 peeling paint colors and a few streaks of grease behind the stove.

Oh, and I've somehow turned into a crazy houseplant lady. I went from one hardy aloe that's hung in there for a few years to having plants everywhere. This morning I found myself feeding dried crickets to a carnivorous pitcher plant, LOL.

My renovation is officially underway which means I moved into my parent's house this weekend. Living with my parents is going really, really well! Of course, they've been out of the country since I moved in so... 

Anyway, this weekend was packing up my place so that demo could start. I can't believe I just moved in four months ago and I was already packing again. It would have been nice to do the renovation before I moved in but for a number of reasons that just wasn't in the cards.

This week is a slow one work-wise with lots of vacations which is giving me a chance to catch up on my very long to-do list. I'm planning to knock off mid-day tomorrow. Thursday and Friday are both holidays for us so long weekend here I come!

Pics of demo progress. They haven't started to rip up the floors yet. That's when it really gets interesting.

So...my H went and got a haircut. He cut it all off, so now he has short hair and a beard. He did it because he's getting ready to interview - not for me. But holy hell... *fans self*
