The day before my vacation I busted something in my food and during vacation I was walking in flip flops and sandals which made it worse. First I suspected plantar issues but it is more like metatarsal pain. Once back I started walking only in my running shoes and the pain is almost gone. My hiking group is going out tomorrow for a very short hike (3mi). Should I chance it or should I recover more. I am itching to get out there but maybe I really should not.
If you'll be wearing your running shoes or something else with equal support then I'd be willing to give it a try and see how it goes. Is it a situation where you could turn back and go to your car if it didn't go well early on?
