there is a wide variety of pretty good looking free gifts today.  there's a points promotion on a $25 purchase, a free clinque gift for any $15 makeup purchase, a dermatologica free gift for any $30 skincare purchase a general ulta brand stuff bag of items with a $60 purchase (I generally find those bags about 50% good stuff and 50% good stuff to hand off as a gift to my teenaged babysitter) and a bunch of brand specific free gift with purchase items (coverfx, bare minerals, etc)

So if you have a cart with a mix of makeup and skincare for a total of $60 you get three different free gifts, plus a random sample pack depending on which free skincare you bought, plus extra points.  Plus more if you're into any of the brands offering a free gift right now.  

I threw together a cart of things I was kinda eyeballing and right now have it at $58 ($61something minus the standard $3.50 coupon) where the free things heavily outweight the stuff I'm actually paying for.  
And I'm probably not going to actually hit purchase because I really desperately need to clean out my stash and reorganize before I add more things.  LOL

But figured I'd pass it along for those who aren't so inundated.

i got some good sample bags today, and some decent deals!

i had a shampoo/conditioner jumbo sitting in my cart since they went on sale in july, waiting for a good combo of other stuff to show up. i got a coupon for 10 off 40 of hair stuff, and was at 33ish with the jumbos, so i picked out a leave in conditioner that i got for free basically. DH needed some basics, so i threw those in, a few bath bombs that were on sale and i was able to get both the primer sample pack (with $60) and other sample bag (with $80, i think i picked orange). then i found a $15ish gift card from ebates i had forgotten about. so, a good mix of stuff i'd been wanting, basics for DH and fun things.

i also had no business buying anything because i too need to clean out my stash and organize, but that's on my agenda for this week! so, if i get it done i can treat this like my gift for the hard work, lol.
