The Azores?

Anyone been recently? We're going to spend the week on Sao Miguel at the Azor Hotel. I'm wondering if it is worth flying over to another island for the day? Probably Terceira?

Any tips for Sao Miguel? Favorite excursions, restaurants, etc.?

We went to Azores for New Year's Eve 2017 into 2018. We did not got to Sao Miguel unfortunately. We hit Faial, Pico, and Terceira. We did not really know what to expect and booked the trip at the last minute because the price was unbeatable. We had a phenomenal time - the food, the scenery, the people! Just tremendous. And so, so affordable (although as it is getting more popular, I'm sure prices are creeping up).

I don't have any recommendations for Sao Miguel and I know it is larger than the others, but we would have been bored to death with a full week on any of the islands. We had two,two and three and the third day on Terceira was a little lacking. We also went in the winter so we didn't get the water activities.
