1. 13 weeks
2. I've got another anterior placenta, so that sucks. I mean, in the grand scheme of life it's not that big of a deal. But, man, I was really hoping for an abundance of baby movement this go round.
3. If your ultrasound tech looked for the nub at your nt scan, was the prediction correct? Ours got a great nub shot and guessed girl. I'm trying not to get too excited over that possibility.
4. I got the e-cloth for windows/glass a while back. It works amazingly well and I really love that I can clean using just water. I saw in the reviews that people use them on their car windshields. Can't wait to try it out!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Looks like I'm continuing my streak of irritable uterus with this pregnancy too. BH have started and I was recommended a magnesium drink that is suppose to help relax the muscles called Natural Calm. It's worth a shot so I'll report back to see if it has helped any.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) I bought this contraption off of Amazon called Lint Lizard. This thing suctioned everything out of my dryer trap. How the heck has my house not caught on fire yet?!!
1. How far along are you? 38 + 2. Ready for it to over...
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I have my weekly OB appt tomorrow and crossing my fingers that there’s been some progress. I want this baby out!
3. Questions for the group? Not right now
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) I got a new Vitamix blender and I’m loving it.

1. How far along are you? 30w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I feel good again this week which is nice. My rapid weight gain during second tri has tapered off (I was getting concerned for a minute there). DH and I had a couple of brief discussions yesterday which is good since we now know we are on the same page for some decisions that we have to make (our communication recently has been lacking, but that’s been mostly due to moving and house related stress).

4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) erm... my Croc thong sandals? I got nothing really. I haven’t bought something for myself in ages.

1. How far along are you? 9 + 2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
No AW, just surviving. The fatigue and nausea did allow me to just veg all weekend and watch lots of Wimbledon!
3. Questions for the group?
I’m traveling overseas around 18w and I’m curious if anyone has tips for flying, or just overseas travel in general. It should be mild where we're going. It’s a sightseeing trip, so a decent amount of walking, but I plan to keep running like I have my two previous pregnancies to stay in shape.

I’m actually pretty excited about Wal-mart’s workout gear. This comes from someone who worked for a running clothing manufacturer for years. It’s decent stuff for the price tag, and cute! I’ve only worn the tops to actually run in, but love some of the other stuff for general #momlife

1. How far along are you? 23+5
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I was able to get H to come shopping with me last week. So we've finalized our choices for car seat, stroller, and rocker. He didn't really have an opinion but I felt better knowing he'd at least seen the big ticket items before I spend so much on them. I've also been buying lots of baby/kids clothes on deep clearance, should probably stop until my shower is past, but it's all sooo cute! I also seem to be developing varicose veins which I absolutely hate and was hoping wouldn't hit me. One of my legs has a lot and they were bulging massively on my runs this week - so awful!
3. Questions for the group? Any tips for how to avoid varicose veins? From Googling there seems to be minimal things I can do outside of drink water, continue exercising, kick my feet up when I can, and not crossing my legs. And if you had them in a prior pregnancy, did they go away afterwards? I am really crossing my fingers they do!
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) The Evernote, Google Drive, and Google Sheets apps for my phone. My memory is the size of a gnat right now so these really are helping to keep me organized in terms of to-do lists. And while I usually keep my work notes in Evernote, it has moved to a whole new level recently b/c otherwise I can't remember anything and forgot convos or drop the ball on my follow-ups!

swiftlyirun. I flew 6 times between 5-22 weeks with zero issues at all. However then I got a bit overconfident. I didn't wear compression socks on any of these, but on my last flight (6 hour redeye where I was more focused on sleeping than getting up to walk/stretch), I got horrific swollen feet. It took 3+ days for them to return to normal. So I would definitely recommend wearing compression socks, and also ensuring that you get up and walk around and stretch. I also bring my own water bottles b/c they don't come by nearly enough. Have a fun trip!

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I am so thankful for a flexible work environment because all my appts seemed to land at the same time. I had iron infusion #3 today, #4 on Friday (those take an entire day), OB 4 week check tomorrow morning, and anatomy scan #2 & fetal echo with maternal fetal medicine on Thurs afternoon. Which means... I'm in the office basically 2 days out of 5.
I am hoping that things are great with MFM and they release me, and I can finish up the last iron infusion next week, and then I just have the regular OB checks to contend with for awhile.

4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) I am barefoot or in sandals 99% of the time and my heels are always so dry. I use that file thing they use at the nail salon and it's still doesn't work well enough. I bought this on a whim and was amazed at how effective it was - in a week, my heels were completely healed and smooth! Totally lived up to it's name Miracle Heel Stick: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004R6OTI2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

swiftlyirun, I have taken 12 flights this pregnancy. Wear compression socks, drink lots of water, sit in an aisle seat near the bathroom and try to walk. While out, do the same. Drink water, rest when you can, and don’t push yourself too hard. I am notorious for that and always probably do more than I should.

1. 34 weeks
2. I am surviving. I got most of baby laundry done and some organizing. Trying to get my hospital bag packed. Finished my birth plan. I am ready. I hope he bakes for 3 weeks and then comes. I really don’t want to go over 38 weeks. I am ready to meet and snuggle him.
I’m traveling overseas around 18w and I’m curious if anyone has tips for flying, or just overseas travel in general. It should be mild where we're going. It’s a sightseeing trip, so a decent amount of walking, but I plan to keep running like I have my two previous pregnancies to stay in shape.
Drink plenty of water, walk to stretch your legs often, and possibly compression socks/tights. I flew internationally at 25w, 28w and 34w last pregnancy. And I just flew to Hawaii and back at 20 weeks this pregnancy. Its really not a big deal. My last OB wanted me to wear the compression tights and I've just worn them for all my flying again this time around to be safe.
If you'll be in Europe, be aware bathrooms will rarely be free. You'll need to either be a paying customer or pay a some Euro for usage. So carry some loose change on you just in case!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Starting to really feel like nesting even though it’s pretty early, but I just want to have everything ready. Still feeling like crap.
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) not new, but just loving my roomba lately.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I have been getting the worst headaches the last couple weeks and I cannot for the life of me figure out a trigger. Today I had one literally from 4 am to 4 pm. Not cool! Tylenol usually helps but it didn’t touch the pain today until my third dose.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone else with headaches?
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) I have long fine hair with a bit of wave to it and could never get it looking really nice with a hair dryer and brush. Especially in the back there would be some random bumps/waves. I bought the Revlon hair dryer/brush combo thing from Amazon and it is AMAZING. It seriously makes my hair look like I got a professional blow-out. And it’s easy to use (if I can do it, anyone can do it). Seriously a great product for like $40 if you are hair challenged like me!

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
Starting to feel flutters! But also starting to get low back, pelvic bone, and sciatic pain. It worries me what 3rd tri will be like
3. Questions for the group? When do you start doing / planning baby stuff? Buying stuff, registering, planning a nursery (starting the renovation for the nursery...haha, we should do that one soon. It’s small.)
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? Months ago, I got blue light glasses on amazon, and they are still so amazing! I felt my eye muscles relax as soon as I put them on, and they have cut my migraines down significantly. I start to get a head if I don’t wear them at work.

fairfax, yes. But I don’t take any medicine so I usually have to ride it out. I’ll just increase water on those days to see if it helps or nap if I can.
chocolatelove, if it helps, my pain started early and 2nd tri was rough but 3rd tri hasn’t been too terrible. I’ve had very terrible and painful days but my biggest complaint now is the rib pain. For planning, start when you’re comfortable and ready. It can be anytime. I started fairly early since my shower was going to be at like 24.5 weeks. And then I’ve been buying and doing stuff throughout the months when I can due to my hectic schedule.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Not much going on. Officially less than 1 month to go! My MIL sent us some really rude texts last week. Drama ensued. Long story short....if I go into labor outside daycare hours DH might need to stay home with DS. I'm ok with it, but DH is not thrilled. Whatever.
Bought a used swing on FB this past weekend. This weekend I probably need to install the car seat base and finish packing bags for myself, DS and a bag for the dog (in case for some reason DS and dog need to go visit someone).
It's going to be in 100's this weekend with humidity. I might die.
Daycare is trying to potty train DS. Nice timing, daycare. Anyway...they've had a good amount of success. I can't say the same for us at home on nights/weekends. Oh well.

4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) Yasso Bars--gestational diabetes approved and delicious.

1. How far along are you? 24+6
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Nothing exciting this week, other than I’ve really noticed my energy starting to tank.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) I honestly can’t think of anything spectacular right now.
2. I've got another anterior placenta, so that sucks. I mean, in the grand scheme of life it's not that big of a deal. But, man, I was really hoping for an abundance of baby movement this go round.
Not all anterior placentas are the same. I've had it with both pregnancies. With DS1 I didn't feel him much. With DS2 I wish I could make it stop. A lot depends on exactly where the placenta is and their position. DS1 was also breech so despite him making my ribs feel broken I never felt kicks. This one is head down and man he's active!
I had an anterior placenta with DD2 and although I did feel movement about a month later, I actually felt more kicks and movement overall. She went crazy in there!

1. How far along are you? 30+3
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We got a good portion of the nursery ready this weekend and even convinced H to paint an accent wall like I wanted! I also had a massage on Friday which was amazing and no step kids over the weekend which meant I didn't sit out at tennis courts all weekend in the heat. Exhaustion is real though. All I want to do is sleep, but there's too much going on at home and work.
3. Questions for the group? Not really
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) - I'm loving my new EC planner. It was a total splurge, but it's been fun getting stickers and somewhere to keep my life straight since my brain is pretty much mush at this point.
Post by farfalla2011 on Jul 16, 2019 11:16:40 GMT -5
chocolatelove - I probably started the beginning stages of my registry and stuff around where you are now? We just this past weekend worked on the nursery and have it close to ready aside from buying a mattress, glider, changing table, etc. Ha! now that I'm typing it out, maybe we don't have much ready after all, all we have is a crib and a built in dresser in the closet.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
My Dr was supposed to call by yesterday if I needed more GD testing and didn't so I must have passed the 1hr. Yippee! I was really nervous this time around for some reason.
Oh and also, MH called me yesterday to tell me he bought a Groupon for laser eye surgery for me and I need to make an appt by Sept. Lol. I told him I'm pretty sure no one is gonna get near an 8 mo pg person's eyeballs with a laser, and he didn't believe me so we looked at the website last night.. sure enough, can't do it if pg or nursing lol. Bless his sweet little heart
3. Questions for the group?
Don't think so this week
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) Hmmm good question.I got magnetic eyeliner and lashes that I have liked a lot haha. But I am irresponsible and keep losing the lashes so I think I am going to hold off on getting more til after this baby and I have more motivation to wear them all day.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? nothing special. bleeding/spotting has been so much better this week, so i'm pretty sure that i did pass most of the SCH last week. phew. the baby has taken to early morning dance parties, waking me up anytime from 4-6 am. not a fan of that. and, not baby related but it's my oldest's 5th birthday today! yay!
3. Questions for the group? nope!
4. What product are you really enjoying/raving about recently? (Anything - not just pregnancy-related) . hmmmmm. i got a few new cookbooks recently from a sale on america's test kitchen website and we've been cooking heavily from them, especially the grilling and burgers book. it's a great time of year to throw things on the grill and helps keep the house from getting even hotter with the oven going.
3. Questions for the group? Does anyone want to tell me what baby stuff I need? I have zero motivation to even start thinking about this. Ugh.
check out lucie's list and get the newest edition of the baby bargains book. everything i registered for (5 years ago now) came from those two sources pretty much. and, i did my sister's registry for her last winter and used the same stuff really. they've done all the testing, rating, comparing, and i just took their recommendations and made my list.
