I got a 6-pack of Method hand soap for just under $10 and a new Razor scooter for DD for about $27. I got a few other things, but those were the deals I was most excited about.
ETA: I had to lol at myself for being excited about such a good deal on hand soap. The excitement of being an adult!
I bought a ton of magformers. My kids love Magnatiles, and DS was excited about the idea of wheels. I also got a portable charger for myself for travel.
I grabbed the Ring doorbell/Echo Dot deal. I've been eyeing the doorbell and the price was super cheap with essentially a free dot. I'll throw the dot in the girls' room or the playroom. They love using the Echo for music in the living room already.
I got a new kindle for DD. Prime Day + $5 off and 25% of trade in means it was super cheap at $50ish.
DD's kindle bit the dust this weekend, so it was fortunate timing. I have no desire to troll through Amazon's site all day hoping for a good deal on stuff and likely ending up with "good deals" on things I don't need.
And if you don't already do it, price compare at camelcamelcamel. Amazon will sometimes bump up the regular price so that the sales price looks good. You can also see what they regularly sell it for... for example, "regular price" of $129 on the kindle, regularly drops to $89.99 throughout the year, $79.99 on prime day. So it's a $10 savings from it's cheapest price since it was released, but not a HUGE discount from what they normally sell it at.
I was looking at a shade tent that was "regular price" of $129, on sale for $49... but the typical "regular price" throughout the year is $59. But it sure looks good when there's a countdown and limited availability.
I ordered a Dot for $20 and a Kindle for $29. I will donate both to the Christmas bazaar at the kids’ school as raffle items. They are always looking for stuff and I feel like we hemorrhage money at Christmas, so I vowed to buy stuff on prime day.
I got a $50 iTunes card for $40, and DH got 2 kayak paddles for the new kayaks. Our pool robot finally gave out, so we ordered one, but it wasn’t a good deal. I ordered a book I’ve been wanting to read and just kept forgetting about.
