What do you do or use now differently than you did in your 20s (if you’re in your 30s now) or anything that has shifted over time for you? Techniques, how to prep skin, type of makeup, etc?
I repurchased Stila kitten the other day and was like “ummmmm this no longer looks good on me” and I almost sobbed. LOL
Pink blushes. Man, i loved pink blushes but now they just dont seem to look right on me. I use bronzer/nude blushes instead. It still feels a little sad when I see the container, I want a bright pink color LOL!

Everything? My skin has changed so much, my hair has changed so much, everything has changed so everything has change in how I deal with it. A few examples: -my skin used to be a bit more oily and now it's more dry. I use a lot more moisturising products as well as a few anti-ageing products. -My eyelids are now completely over my lid, so I never use eye shadow or really line my eyes any longer. - I never, ever wear foundation and I used to daily. At most, I use a CC cream.
-moisturizing and overall skincare has probably changed the most for me. I used to use a lot of harsh products to combat my acne, and now almost everything I use is gentle. My skin looks better than it ever has, too.
-I still wear foundation when I'm at work, but increasingly on weekends (and all summer when school is out) I just wear tinted moisturizer or CC cream. I'm more comfortable with my skin overall, so I feel less need to cover it up with makeup.
-I wear a lot more eye makeup now than I did in my 20's, though to be fair I wore none at all until I was nearly 30. At most I'll do a light smoky eye or a wash of color when I'm going out to eat or to work, though. In my early 30's I was much more ambitious with colors. I still like to play around with eyeshadow, but I don't make it a priority in my routine these days.
Skin care is the biggest. I used to have very red active acne spots all over my cheeks that never really went away ever. I’ve completely cleared everything up and only have very faint scars/discoloration in those spots. My skin is still on the oily side too but it’s like a good oily, doesn’t get crazy oily like it used too or irritated. I think I look better at almost 35 than I did at 25.
My makeup routine is always changing. When I started with makeup I had an everyday work look, then when I started staying at home I did basically a full face everyday cause I just liked it as a hobby/me time. Right now I’m pretty minimal because it’s summer haha.
I think the biggest thing for me is that I've learned how to pick skincare that makes my skin look it's best and I'm much better at using colors that look good on my skin tone rather than using what's trendy.
I feel like even though I'm creeping up on 50, my skin looks better than it did when I was younger. I take better care of my skin now and also use foundation products that work with my skin type. I do look older, of course, but my skin is in much better condition now (if that makes any sense).
I do a much more natural look than I used to (lightweight foundation/not matte/less harsh eye make-up/glossy neutral lip). I think doing that has made me look more youthful as I get older.

I just turned 40. A lot has changed!
Primers weren't a thing back in my 20's, but they make such a difference. I've always been pretty good about skin care, but I've stepped it up, even in just the past few years, using Vit. C, serums, etc. I've quit wearing eyeliner. I feel like it makes me look old and dated, and it closes off my already small eyes.
Technique has changed dramatically more than anything. I applied foundation with my fingers and used the brushes/sponges that came with makeup. Now I know HOW to apply products to my face.

I quit using powder, except occasional loose powder on my forehead. I started using a damp beauty blender for foundation. I started filling in my brows. Basically in the last few years, i started focusing on technique and shades that flatter me rather than just wearing stuff that I like, if that makes sense.
