1. Yes, I was successful in high school setting up my basketball coach and another coach at my school. To my knowledge, they're still married. I'm working on setting up someone I went on a couple dates with recently with a coworker's sister. I hope it works out!
2. I played the flute in high school and took piano lessons for a couple years, although I can only play a few songs on the piano from memory.
3. There's No Getting Over Me by Ronnie Milsap. He just released a new version as a Kacey Musgraves duet which is a great version too.

I'll play!
1. This a funny question to me, when I really reflect on it. I actually tried to fix my DH up with one of my best friends (at least one of them??) when she wanted to date other people besides her steady boyfriend (who she ended up marrying). I don't think they would've be right for each other anyway, so it worked out for me in the end. lol.
2. No instruments but I do sing. I've been thinking I would love to learn guitar, if I ever have time for a hobby.
3. Lately its been You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift. I love that song, haha.
1. No. I have made suggestions, that are usually rejected. 2. I wish, but no 3. It Takes Two - Rob Base or Metal Health - Quiet Riot - odd I know, but I usually am running when I listen and this is what does it for me.
1. Nope, never tried that. 2. No instruments, it's something I wish I had pursued in school. 3. Walk Me Home by Pink. I'm obsessed with her whole album lately. But soccermama, that song is a top contender for me too! I love it!
2. In my family, you’re either super-musically talented and play multiple instruments, or you got nothin’. I got nothin’. I tried piano and violin and sucked equally at both.
3. Hmmm. Probably Mana Can You Die From a Broken Heart. Or My Church. I’m on a weird country kick recently.
1 - Not on purpose. But when I moved away to college, all my girl friends fell in love with all my guy friends from back home that would come and visit. 3 marriages - 1 divorce so far.
2 - No, I wish I had stuck with the violin though!
3 - I am really not a music person so I listen to virtually non. When I do, it's usually gospel choirs.
1. Nope, never tried that. 2. No instruments, it's something I wish I had pursued in school. 3. Walk Me Home by Pink. I'm obsessed with her whole album lately. But soccermama , that song is a top contender for me too! I love it!
1. I don’t think so! I’ve set up a ton of people, but I think I’m really bad at it because it never worked out.
2. I play the violin. DH comes from a very musical extended family - many professional musicians. He plays several instruments. DD1 is quite talented as well. DD2 seems to like piano, but jury is out.
3. Stable Song by Gregory Alan Isakov. Specifically this version: m.youtube.com/watch?v=AqyAmmEkVvI It’s very calming for me. This week has been a little chaotic.
1. Nope. I don’t even like handing in a resume for a friend, I can’t imagine trying to play match maker.
2. I’m really accomplished at the air guitar.
3. The Kretchma... I play it for the kids a lot. One day I’m going to get a call home from school asking about why my kids are singing about drinking vodka in a bordello.
1. Nope. I tend to be a little nosy/bossy by nature so I try not to get too involved in other people's private lives
2. I played the violin growing up. All state orchestra, played at the Kennedy Center once, and got to travel for it and everything. But in high school I realized that if I was going to get a college scholarship for it, I would need to major or minor in it, so I decided to stop pursuing it. It's now been years since I've played and my old violin is at my parents' house (where I haven't lived in 20 years). DH played the cello growing up. We should probably get our kids into music but it hasn't happened yet.
3. Old Town Road, Bad Guy, Baby Shark, and Boom Chicka Rocka - all songs the kids love. DD loves Bad Guy by Billie Eilish - luckily she's not good at understanding lyrics.

1. Nope. I've tried but it has never worked out.
2. I play the piano. I put myself through undergrad and law school by teaching piano. DH plays well too, and so does everyone in his family. DS is in year 3 of piano lessons and is rather hopeless at it. We have high hopes for DD. One of our kids have got to have some musical talent right?
2. I played clarinet in 4th - 9th grade and then switched to trombone and continued to play through college. DH played drums and piano. We were major band geeks in high school and both won the John Philip Sousa Band Award. DD started drums this past school year. All of our kids will be in band whether they want to or not.

1. I have not been matchmaker, but a coworker match-made me and DH (after we each had told her separately that we were interested in the other person).
2. I know how to play piano (not well), violin (played in orchestra 6th-12th grades), and classical guitar (private lessons age 7-18). I enjoy violin and guitar the most of the three, but I don't really play them much any more due to being so busy with work and the kids. I do miss playing though, as it's a good stress-reliever.
3. I didn't check, but probably All In by Matthew West. The lyrics speak to me a lot about what I feel God calling me to do, but being afraid to really step "all in" into that calling. It's one of those songs where I thought, the first time I heard it, "this song was written for me".
1. nope 2. nope, can't even stay on pitch if I try and sing 3. Whatever comes on the radio station. I'm not big on music. Right now DD is really into our Aqua CD so lots of Barbie Girl has been playing at our house recently.
1. No 2. I played the piano and flute each for 6 years from 2nd grade through senior year of high school. It was an easy A in school and a fun elective. I was never passionate about it. I have friends who are music teachers and that’s a whole different level. 3. Probably Raffi’s Baby Beluga or Old McDonald. I usually listen to podcasts and they like their music in the car.
