So my son started at a dayhome a couple weeks ago, and she agreed to cloth diapers which is great. She seems to have no problem with them - I send aplix pockets, so it's pretty easy. The flaw? She's been checking if he's wet by feeling the fleece and just assuming he's dry! Yesterday was the first day I did the pick-up myself, so I showed her that yes, the insert was very wet.
So I guess it's important to state the (to me) obvious. Poor little dude has been in some pretty wet diapers. His skin is fine, though, so no damage done.
I am having the same problem. DCP either feels the outside of the diaper or sticks her finger in and feels the fleece. The first few days DD was there, she only got changed 2 or 3 times. I keep telling her that I change about every 2 hours, no matter what (and I've almost never discovered a dry diaper).
I'll just tell her to change him about every 2-3 hours, which is what I do at home. I really think the problem is solved - I just posted so that others would know to be more explicit in their directions with daycare.
