DH spoke again to the job coach, and it is 12K, so out of our price range. I would like to get him some classes to address some of the areas he needs to work on as defined by the coach. He has done Dale Carnegie before- 2 different classes (company paid). Online classes could be fine as well.
Areas were:
Executive Presence
Communication
Relationship Building- More with the boss (not buddy buddy but professional) and peers. He treats his staff well, so they are usually good, but some things are outside his control.
Deeper Thinking- I think he has a blind spot for company politics which can be dangerous.
Hiring/ Promoting the right people. This is kind of a black box sometimes, but he had 2 people that didn't work out well. Usually they are good though.
Making a good first impression in the job for the first 6 months.
Any thoughts on where he could find training on any of that? As far as I know the training center for the company he used to work for didn't really have those, so through work is not the best option. And the conferences he was attending were more technical.
I don't think he intuits well, so he needs more direct instruction.
