St. Kitts and Nevis

Has anyone been? I searched the board and saw a lot of cruise ship stop references that were mostly a few years old.

My good friend grew up in St Kitts, and has suggested H and I come along with her when she visits family over the holidays. It will be during Carnival so I don't want to pass this up.

H and I are thinking 3-4 nights on St. Kitts with her, then let her enjoy her time with her family and head off for 2 nights on Nevis.

She and her family will know the good stuff on the island, but I want to do some of my own research so I'm not completely dependent on them to entertain me.

If you went, what did you love?  If you went to Nevis and didn't stay at the Four Seasons, where did you stay?

I have been to St Kitts for a week several years ago. It is a nice quiet island. We stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club. We did not rent a car as taxis were readily avaiable. We had a driver take us to the Fort (amazing views) and a batik place. We also had him set up a brewery tour at Carib Brewery the next day. It was just us on the tour. His name was Thenford Gray if you need a driver.
The beach "shack" type restaurants are great, but definitely run on island time. We started getting buckets of beer so we could have more than one during dinner.
I would go back! I have heard it is growing and more hotels etc are coming in since I was there. Did not make it to Nevis.

I went to nevis and stayed at the four seasons in 2017 and LOVED IT. I had wanted to go there for a long time, and finally got there. I plan to go back. If you have any specific questions please let me know. I mostly went to relax. I didnt leave the resort except for the restaurant down the beach and i went for a run off site a couple of times.
