Today while I was running I got a pins and needles feeling in one of my feet. I have never had this happen while running before (sometimes it does when I elliptical but I assumed it was because my feet weren’t actually moving). Is this normal while running? Should I be concerned? How do I prevent it.
A few things that may or may not be relevant. Earlier this year I took a couple months off for an injury. When I started back I started with a c25k program and I am in last week of it so this was my longest run in at least 6 months.
This summer has been brutally hot so most of my runs have been on a treadmill. This is one of only a couple outdoor runs I have done this year.
Shoes only have about 50 miles on them so I don’t think it’s that. I could trying tying more loosely and see if that helps.
Did you get fitted prior to getting these shoes?
Either way I would go to a local running store, explain what is happening, and get a new pair of shoes.
I was going to ask this. Also, is it a new style of shoes than previously used? I've gotten that feeling in a new style of shoes and it was my clue that it was not the shoes for me. Changing to a new style fixed the issue for me.

I’ve had this off and on for many years. I’ve never found a pattern to why it happens. I’ve found no correlation to old/new shoes, laces too tight, swelling, etc. All the suggestions above are good ones to start with. I’m not overly concerned myself but they always say doctors make the worse patients so I might not be the best to listen to!

I've had this happen my last few runs. I am doing a half marathon training program and I asked one of the coaches about it. She said it happens to her frequently and she doesn't have a good explanation as to why.
I was going to say loosen the laces. Your feet might be a little bloated from the heat or something. I’ve had my feet go numb before when my laces are too tight across the tops of my foot where the veins are. And also during a race when I wore compression capris and was apparently bloated or swollen or whatever and the compression cut off the circulation o my feet . I had to have a SAG person cut up the back of my capris up to above my knees so that I could finish the race
