I am apple in that my waist is bigger than my hips so to get them to fit in the waist, they are baggy as fuck in the thighs and ass. To fit in the thighs and ass, they are too tight in the waist.
I am also plus size.
Is this something that I should be having tailored or do they make a certain brand to fix this??
I did Google and the Googles say to wear boyfriend fit jeans but...I don't like the look..🙄

I’m apple and I feel your pain. I hate the way they look in the thighs and ass when they fit your waist. I’m not plus sized, so I’m no help really, but I'll try.
Gap Old Navy Noisy May (from Asos. Asos is great and you can order whatever and return in a reasonable amount of time) Pepe Benetton Levis
Definitely check out Asos. They have so many things for everyone. I also tend to do better with low rise. I can’t stand this high waisted trend.

I LOVE J.Crew jeans. I wear a 32 inch which they say is a 12 (I’m really more of a 14) but some of their jeans now go up to a plus size 22 or 24. Might be worth a try, they have sales all the time.

I am the opposite...low rise pants fall off of me because I have no hips or rear. Also, my hip bones are really high and I have practically no space between my lowest ribs and hip bones, so no pretty much no waistline to speak of. At least higher waist pants don't fall off as easily. lol
I am sort of apple adjacent, and can't find a good fit either. I am no help....sorry.

I find that I have better luck with pants that have a bit of stretch. I recently replaced all my jeans with American Eagle jeggings (which definitely look more like jeans than leggings.) I love the high waist too.
For pants, I wear a lot of ponte pants and my favorites for everyday are The Pant from American Giant.

Yes, I love these! I'm way more pear than apple, so I can't speak to that, but these have quickly become my favorite pants. So comfortable and they look great. Definitely worth the higher price tag IMO.

Jeggings are your friend. The more stretch the better. It is a double edge sword because the stretchier the more they sag by the end of the day but they are all I can really find that fit everywhere. I am plus size too and I like Torrid jeans and Old Navy. Torrid are great but usually pricier (you can find good sales though). Depending on what size you are ON can be good because I can wear their regular sizes which usually are cut smaller in the butt and thigh. Also, I keep trying the universal thread brand at Target (I have to buy online to get size and style I want). I haven’t been super successful with them because I find the sizing inconsistent but I do think they are worth a try because when they fit I like them better than ON.

Old Navy pull-on Rockstar jeggings. They have no closures but are denim-weight and look like jeans. Miracle pants is what they are.
For a traditional jean, the Rockstar with built-in sculpt. They've been heavily advertising all different cuts now. I like skinnies, but they have straight, boot, and wide leg as well.
