Monday moans & weekend wrap up

Hey all! How is everyone doing today? Anything fun from your weekends you want to share? Feel free to add moans and whines about it being Monday, too.

My weekend was good. Started celebrating my birthday early by going to froyo with some of my dance friends after class on Friday. Saturday I did a photo shoot with one of my friends holding the camera to get a good profile photo and then yesterday I uploaded a couple of photos and made my profile visible on Match. Eeek! It's already starting to feel a little overwhelming, but I have a dating coach and I'm just trying to remember her advice.

I'm not too upset that it's Monday, just not sure why I woke up at 7:30am instead of sleeping until 8:30 or 9. Oh well. More time to run errands this morning, I guess.

This weekend was amazing. I took Friday off to ride down to Orlando with my supporter group friends. It was a tailgate amazing sing along on the bus, the game was great and we won. Saturday I got up early and went to Universal Studios and geeked out at Harry Potter World. Flew home late Saturday night and was totally lazy and read all day trying to rest up.  The new Hagrid roller coaster was amazing! You get to pick a side car or a motorcycle and it was so much fun. I am still tired today after my fitbit clocked 25 miles in two days.

I am so tired. I was not ready for it to be Monday!

My weekend was good. I ended up doing some window shopping on Saturday and had lunch on a patio with H.
On Sunday, I went to the farmers market and then did some work in the backyard.
H’s Birthday is on Friday and we will both have the day off and will be able to make a long weekend out of it. I know it’s only Monday, but I’m already looking forward to it! lol

I’m rarely over here anymore but I’m all booked for my Seattle trip in a couple of weeks. smock starrieskies

Unfortunately a good friend lost her dad yesterday (long expected) so I might be trying to do the impossible and driving back and forth from Florida this week. I have to be here Friday so we’ll see. Feels like I should just keep a suitcase permanently packed.

Weekend was good but too short!

P and I had a wonderful date night Friday. Saturday was his birthday but he had a bachelor party. I made him a cake while he was gone and we celebrated around 7:30pm when he got home. Sunday we went to a neighbor's for happy hour which was super fun.

My moan is that I slept AWFUL last night and I'm so tired! And HOLY SHITE our kitchen reno starts in three weeks! Time to kick it in to overdrive...

Happy Monday!

It's state fair time in mn, and i went with my mom on Sunday. The weather is PERFECT for the fair, low 70's with a breeze. Heaven. I'm going on weds, too, with friends and bf.

I found out recently that i have precancerous cells in my cervix, so I'm getting a LEEP cone procedure on September 5th. I have to be under anesthesia and have a pre op surgery appointment since it's the more invasive LEEP. trying to just power through and not worry, but of course it isn't working.

My weekend was jam packed again. Friday headed out to camp at a ski resort that was holding a mtn bike race for my oldest the next day. Got there in time for his pre-ride and got to hang with some families from our team that I knew from before. So fun.

*Moan* XH helps with the mtn bike team and he showed up late and ended up camping about 20 ft from us. Great for kids to get to see dad, but awkward for me to have to hang out with other team families and him. Our worlds are too intertwined after 23 years together and 3 kids. But it was fine - I even gave him a beer b/c he was out.

Next day was the race and we had a great time and my oldest did pretty good and felt good. After the race, I met a girlfriend and her two kids at a hot springs about 45 min away and we had so much fun relaxing. Then we camped together near a beautiful river. And the next day parted ways so she could take her kids school shopping, and I took my kids to another undeveloped hot springs to hike into. We had a great time, returned home in time to all shower and then the big boys went golfing with my parents as I hung out with my youngest and played games and read books.

gault, I hope you have an uneventful procedure and good results. I wouldn't be able to put that out of my mind either.

downtoearth it's this coming Friday. I'm just spreading out the celebrations a bit. It was really nice of you to share your beer. I think I would've been tempted to open it up and pour it out while staring him down, just to be a bitch. But I say that and probably wouldn't do it.

bowies I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

ETA: hi, I just got home from work about 20 minutes ago. I started at noon. I was at work for over 12 hours because the sergeant couldn't be bothered to find someone to come relieve us. Hooray for 2 hours of OT?

downtoearth, yes, we are completely gutting the kitchen and knocking down the load bearing wall to connect it with the room next to it. I will definitely post pictures. And hugs. I know it's hard. But you are a big person for giving him a beer.

I know it's not Monday anymore but I'll sum up my weekend anyway. SHITTY.

I met with my contractor on Sunday and he nonchalantly tells me my project will be done by the end of September. WTF?!?!?! That's 4 weeks over what he has been quoting me all along. As early as one week ago he was still saying 8, maybe 9 weeks. Now all of a sudden it's 12 weeks. I blew up at him. I'm going to be a daily pain in the ass for him until this job is done. My sanity cannot take not living in my own home much longer.

On top of that I think the young guy is ghosting me. He's away for work and flying back and forth to an oil rig so I was assuming much of the delay in texting was when he was on the rig without a signal (he told me that could happen). Now I think he's just being a dick. Why do seemingly mature people do that shit? How hard is it to just tell someone you aren't interested?

My weekend sucked because I had to work all weekend. To make up for it I had yesterday and today off but I have accomplished nothing except to cry and snuggle my kitty.
She has been fighting a UTI for like 3 weeks and it is not getting better so yesterday AM the vet took xrays.
There is a dark spot on her bladder that the vet is concerned about so Thursday she is having an ultrasound.
Depending on what they find, she very well may need surgery.
She is almost 16 years old but other than this UTI, she is in perfect health.
the thought of surgery still scares the living daylights out of me.
She is my everything.
