Any of you have a favorite, and accurate, running app? I have been using Nike+, but yesterday, I dusted off my old Garmin Forerunner (looks like a computer on my wrist these days), and used both on my 16mi run. They were in sync for about 3.5mi, and then my phone got ahead of my Garmin and averaged .12mi ahead of where my Garmin ended up. Not a huge deal, but 3-5sec/min pace makes a difference at marathon distance.
In reading this article (https://www.active.com/running/articles/how-accurate-is-your-running-app), it is saying the Garmin is more accurate because it utilizes constant satellite readings, whereas phones use locations based on cell towers. I mapped my run on MapMyRun.com when I got home and thought my phone was more accurate (ok ok, it's only a .15mi difference, but still), but now don't know. Just wondering if I should continue to trust Nike+, or download a new app.
