I know this is random, but I realized that I have some extra cash to spend on some personal and home items in the next week and would love some ideas of things that you have recently purchased that you really like. They can be household items to clothing to odd ball things...

I recently bought this old-navy sports bra (it was 40% off on the day I bought it) and it's great. I love it and it separates my boobs, so it looks good under work clothes too. Now I don't need two bras when I workout in the middle of the day (unless I get too sweaty).
Another that is really random purchase is a succulent plant arrangement for my office. It was only $10 and has 8 different types of succulants in a 10" (ish) pot (from our local Farmer's Market). I love that my office desk seems more welcoming and I can see it from my screens. I want more office plants now (only have the succulent and a big spider plant).

2 things we've bought recently that have transformed our lives (a little!)
A Roomba. We have hardwoods in every room but the bedroom and two cats, so litter and cat hair on the floor constantly. I run it every Monday morning (it's connected to the Google Home, so I say, "Hey Google, start Kryten.") I absolutely love it. Best $500 we've spent on home cleaning stuff.
The other thing is the air fryer. When it's super hot outside I have no interest in turning the oven on, so this thing has been a god send. Pro tip: get one that's bigger than you think you need. Trust me. It took me 4 rounds to cook enough zucchini chips for dinner.

I was convinced to buy an air fryer after my toaster that I bought after a toaster oven tried to set my house on fire died. That thing makes the best nuggets. It has been fun experimenting...and eating.
Also, I love everything I buy from Lush. Massage bars, masks, bath bombs, etc. It's all really luxurious and nice. It's a fun treat.

I feel like there is a funny story behind this name.

downtoearth, I haven't had mine for very long, but I'm basically at the point of, "Oh, just throw it in the air fryer." Meats. Vegs. Convenience foods. My life's problems. All of it, just dumped into the air fryer.
The Billie razor that is all the rage on social media.
I thought my legs were shaved from my old razor then I used the Billie. Uhhhh there was still a lot of hair turns out lol.
Mine just arrived in the mail today! I’m very excited to try it out.
Although I just shaved yesterday (and did an extra good job since I had a gyno appointment) so I should probably wait a couple days to really see how it works.
An air fryer is on the list of small appliances I would like, but we have no counter space or cabinet space for it I’m going to wait until my slow cooker gives out and then I’ll decide whether to replace it with an air fryer or an Instapot.

I got the Billie too and while I really, really, really like it, the one thing holding me back from LOVING it is that the stupid razor head pops off. Otherwise, totally the best razor I have ever owned

Still here raving about the Bed Jet. Not waking up to sweaty, gross sheets this summer has been great!
We're working on a few new Halloween decor/prop pieces so I've been mostly buying pieces for that. This year we're adding Lock, Shock, and Barrel to our Nightmare Before Christmas setup.

Those with Roombas: how does it deal with stairs? We have a sunken family room that has one step off the kitchen eating area. Would it fall off or know to stop?
DH is obsessed with having the carpet vacuumed at least 3 times a week, and I think this might be a good Christmas gift to ourselves.
I have finally proven myself capable of caring for succulents, so I emptied out the dead pot in my office and plan to get some new ones this weekend to fill it back up. I'm so excited to have them in my office. The ones on my kitchen windowsill make me happy.
The only "fun" thing I've purchased recently are beeswax wraps, but I haven't received them yet. The shop is very highly rated on Etsy though.
Oh, and I bought ceiling fans, which I am beyond thrilled with, but that wasn't exactly an inexpensive venture given we purchased and installed 3 of them.

My doesn’t fall down my basement stairs. It has sensors or something

I've never had one fall down stairs. Ours is dead for whatever reason, but I used to use it upstairs and it would stop before going over the edge of the top step.
This seems like such a stupid gadget, but my H is completely helpless when it comes to opening a new jar of peanut butter. I may buy him this as a Christmas stocking stuffer. lol
I have been really enjoying the subscription box service Causebox. It's a quarterly service, with a focus on ethically and/or sustainably sourced products. I'm getting a lot of nice, practical stuff. I did the annual subscription and paid upfront so I'd have the option to customize, and it's been well worth it. The spoilers so far for the fall box show that I'm getting a canvas weekender bag, a versatile lariat necklace, and a travel wallet. Past boxes included wireless headphones, this gorgeous wrap that I use all the time, a portfolio/envelope clutch that holds a laptop, pens, work stuff, etc, other jewelry, legitimately good skin care products like mineral sunscreen and low pH cleanser...
If you like subscription boxes, this is a good one!

This. Def has edge sensors. OP if you get a an actual Roomba be sure you get a model that includes lighthouses. At least 2. I wish I had 3 actually and may splurge on another one once my move is done and I figure out where I need them. They act as walls, containing the Roomba, or as "guideposts" so the Roomba won't go into room 2 until it's done with room 1, But I only use them as walls, personally, keeping the roomba from getting mixed up in the dining room chairs.
