All crossables crossed for you for Thursday gault! I hope all goes well.
I had a great weekend. H’s 40th was on Friday, so we took the day off to spend some more time together and went to one of his favorite restaurants for lunch. I had wanted to plan a party for him, but he didn’t want one since work has been so demanding lately. So we just relaxed and went to some of our local favorites together to hang out. It was nice!
tiramisu, I saw some of your Disneyland pics on instagram. It looks like you guys had a blast! Is The Incredicoaster scary? Asking for a friend. Lol I chickened out and didn’t end up trying it last time I was there! I’ve actually never been on an upside down coaster before. Yes, I know - a lot of kids go on it, but kids are fearless! Stop laughing at me!!
margarita Disneyland was such a blast! The Incredicoaster was a bit much for me. It was really more the drops than the upside down part. Maybe I just wasn't mentally prepared for it to be as intense as it was? Big Thunder and Space Mountain are definitely more my speed.
This weekend was great! It was full of birthday celebration. Thursday I got a haircut and mani-pedi, then had dinner with friends. Friday my parents came down and we had a really nice dinner together. One of my best friends was able to join us, which was nice. Saturday I was at Disneyland all day. I got grumpy about a couple of things, but honestly it was a really fun day. I was exhausted yesterday when I was back at work because I woke up at 5am to make sure I left early enough to get on the train home. But I did it! Honestly, it was a really nice weekend.
Weekend was good! R planned an impromptu trip to Minneapolis Friday night, so we grabbed dinner downtown and then I took him to a sex shop since he's never been before. He said I poked around looking at everything like I was shopping at Walmart (lmfao). Saturday we had brunch with his friends, played mini golf, went to an indoor public market, drank a fancy rainbow coffee, went to a brewery and then to R's uncle's place for a bit. It was a nice little get away. The rest of the weekend was errands, house stuff and brunches.
I'm Vegas bound on Thursday, so right now I'm doing my best to just get shit done so I can go relax by a pool!

Haha - yes! I love Big Thunder and Space Mountain, but The Incredicoaster looks like a bit much for me! You’re brave, girl! Or you had just enough peer pressure.
Good weekend for me, no headaches. We got the baby’s room painted and I got in some exercise. I wish I always had a 3 day weekend. I always feel so tired by the weekend that I don’t have any energy to actually do anything or have fun with A. I got a little bit of that this weekend.
Went to the doctor today and heard the baby’s heartbeat. We have our big ultrasound scan on Friday where they’ll look over the whole baby for any issues or abnormalities to make sure they are growing okay. Hoping it’s good news.
doriswe, LOL shopping at wal-mart. That is hilarious.
I had a ridiculously fun weekend. I spent the weekend hanging around the hotels for DragonCon. Then stayed out until 330am on Saturday at a Heroes and Villains party. It was so much fun to be dancing with all the people in costumes, Storm Trooopers, and everything and anything. I got wapped by a tail at one point. It was amazing. Sunday I chilled at my brother's pool and then made ridiculous music videos with him. We were laughing so hard we were crying. Monday was a total rest day. I needed it I have been out every night since last Tuesday.
gault my fingers are crossed for you also! Sending cooperative cervix vibes and anti-anxiety ones, too.
margarita I think I just figured oh, okay, I'll go on it. I've enjoyed upside down coasters before, but not in years. I figured I'd be okay. Plus it was my friend's birthday and I went on for her. But after that, I knew there was no way I could handle going on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride with her like I'd been planning to. Not that I wanted to, but I figured I'd be supportive. Nope.

Proboards ate my post... long story short. Busy weekend with friends, working out, birthday parties for people, floating rivers, pedicure, golf, and home organization/lawn work. Now I'm getting ready to go to another town to meet my new person tomorrow, then biking and camping with kids to a race, then back to another town for a play and visit friends, then home Sunday for my middle kid's birthday party. So... not slowing down this weekend.
Good luck to you gault for tomorrow. Happy Birthday, tiramisu. What a fun weekend!

This is way late but oh well. Weekend was great! I took Friday off. Went shopping and then a friend came over to watch Rocketman.
Saturday was my long run with my running group and it went great! I was really happy with how I felt and my time. Afterwards we went out to breakfast and then I literally showered and laid in bed for 2 hours. I was pretty beat so I rented Bohemian Rhapsody and went to bed early.
Sunday I met a friend for a run, weeded at my mom's house for a few hours and then went to dinner with P and his family as BIL (and family) from Texas were in town. Monday we did a bunch of stuff to get ready for the kitchen reno and chilled out.
I'm late to the game too. My extended weekend was full of hurricane prep. And then it was a hurry up and wait game. And wait. And wait. And wait. It was mentally really tough not knowing what was going to happen and having my whole life disrupted because of it. It's over now though and we are back to normal, thank goodness!
It's practically the next weekend, now, but here I am!
The long weekend was fabulous, but never quite long enough. We made the most of some cooler temperatures and finally took down two overgrown evergreens from the front of the house - one of them was over 25' tall and kept growing across the driveway, no matter how severely we trimmed it back. Anyhow, I dropped in a couple dwarf spruces instead - those suckers top out at 8', so I'll have perfect little christmas trees for forever.
Today our kitchen work FINALLY started (floors, backsplash, some electrical work, etc). Our contractor was running a whopping 12 weeks behind on his schedule thanks to the super wet weather we've had this year, so our work is finally underway. It's a complete disaster in the kitchen right now, but I hope that means they're just working super quickly. Under our ugly old click-together laminate flooring (the floor that Lowe's ruined last year) was ANOTHER layer ugly floor (this time a fabulous avocado and brown sheet laminate). I can't wait until it's all finished!
kaneen I am glad Dorian decided to skip your state.

A week late but oh well....we came back from Europe a week ago Friday and our flight from Dallas got canceled (after a diverted flight and 14 hours on the previous flight) so spent the night in Dallas and got back a day late. My kid had sleepover Sunday night after not having seen her friends for 2 months and we had Labor Day at her friends house since they have a pool. Back to school for my kid this week and back to work for me. Had my friend from France come with his dad/sister/BIL for one night while on a cross country trip. My kid was super excited to see him since she didn’t get to see him this summer and I was also super excited to see him even though I spent a few days with him this summer 😈😈. Now it’s back to the grindstone
