What are you training for? Date? Cyclocross, starts last weekend of Sept.
Training schedule for the week? Sunday-nothing/hand injury Monday-Recovery ride Tuesday-Road ride w/intervals Wed.-Road Ride w/intervals (usually cyclocross practice, but my hand can't handle off road right now) Thursday-recovery ride Friday: Off Sat.: TBD by the hand Sunday: Gravel group ride TBD by the hand
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! See Hand Injury. My main road bike is ok for me to ride for about an hour. I can shift since it's Di2 electronic shifting and I don't have to twist my fingers. With electric shifting you press buttons to shift.
Any AW's or brags?
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? I didn't get to ride as much as I wanted b/c of the mtb incident. I took a couple of extra naps and had a couple of nice dinners out. Nothing exciting.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! My right hip is sore. It didn't hurt when I ran this past weekend or last night or when I'm sitting/laying down, just hurts when I change positions from sitting to standing or right when I start running. I'm sure my IT band is part of the problem, and I have some good stretches to help it, but damn, I need it to get better soon.
Any AW's or brags? Eh. Not so much.
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? Traveling home from a much-too-long family road trip and then running 16 miles. I then mostly sat around and napped. It was actually pretty glorious, if kinda boring.
Training schedule for the week? M- 7 miles, T - 7 miles tempo and intervals, W - strength, Th - 6 miles speed, F - rest, Sa - 18 miles, Su - rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! My knees are janky. Went and got a massage last week and now have bruises up and down my legs. It was humid AGAIN last night for tempo - so it was a shit show. Very thankful I didn't show up for my group and did it on my own - I would not have been able to keep up.
Any AW's or brags? Well, my 12 miler this past weekend was accidentally the fastest I've ever run 12 miles in my life (1 more mile at that pace would have beaten my half marathon time by 2.5 minutes). I didn't mean to go fast - I was just like lalala this is great! and wasn't paying attention to my watch. Oops. That's not how you do long runs. Lol.
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? Kayaked with the BF and got in our first ever fight. Lol. Oops.

My marriage almost ended on a kayak this summer. I completely understand this, lol.
Lol. Something about not being able to face each other and have a normal conversation... And throw in the tandem kayaking partnership... We paddled back to the dock quickly, in silence. Lol...
What are you training for? Date? Trail Half SATURDAY!, JFK 50 miler 11/23
Training schedule for the week? Mon - 4 mi, Tue - 6 mi, Wed -5 mi, Thur - 3 mi, Fri - Rest, Sun - RACE DAY, Sat - Rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Back to school for the kids and back to the grind. PTA stuff, baseball for DS, Girl Scouts, work is getting busy. I have to go back to Kansas City next week for work.
Any AW's or brags? I ran 22 miles this weekend. I did the C&O canal. I've done the section towards Georgetown, but never north of the Beltway. It was really beautiful along the Potomac. I saw deer, a beaver, and beautiful egrets. Man it was long though. Out 'n backs are hard.
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? Running my long run, took the kids to the pool a few times, saw Lion King with the kids, went to a Nats game. It was nice to be at home and do some fun family activities.

Training schedule for the week? M- 5 miles easy T-rest Rest of the week is a big W- 20 miles T- 4 miles F- 4 miles S- rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! We're supposed to be headed to vacation this Friday right where Dorian is headed. Things are totally in limbo at the moment and the uncertainty is not fun which I want acknowledge is petty to those who have their homes & cities affected. I'm thinking of those in path of the Dorian.
Any AW's or brags? Ran a small local half and took first place in my age group and 4th female overall!
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? Farmers market, bike ride, friends party, bags tournament, half marathon, drinking tasty beer, reading books, & packing for vacation.
What are you training for? Date? - 70.3 on 9/14, Wineglass half 10/6, and Monumental Half 11/9
Training schedule for the week? Mon - 2200 swim. Tues: 1:15 ride and 20 min Brick, Wed - 50 minute run w/hill repeats, Thurs - 1:30 ride and 2700 swim, Fri: 1:45 long run, Sat - 2:15 ride and 15 min Brick, Sun - rest.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - I am tired. And frustrated as all fuck with running. I don’t feel ready for the 70.3. This whole tri season has sucked. So...yeah.
Any AW's or brags? - Pffft, apparently not.
Bonus: How did you spend the last unofficial weekend of Summer? - Our friends came to visit, we watched a lot of college football, went to a winery for an afternoon, and then when they went home Monday we spent the day chilling and watching Marvel movies. :-)
