LOL, random win!

We were in Maine in July and a bunch of yarn stores were doing a summer-long promotion where you could sign up to win prizes. I entered the promo because we were heading back to Maine the week before Labor Day. I hit up 4 or 5 shops last week and entered for raffles in each one. I just got a call today that I won the grand prize from a shop in BFE Maine! I didn't even ask what I'm getting, I want it to be a surprise. I do know I'm getting interchangeable needles, yay!

Ha- that's awesome!! I can never have enough needles/hooks- ridiculous, sure, but, they do have a walk-away habit. You *have* to come PIP your prize when it gets to you!

Which store/city?  My mom lives in BFE Maine.

Shirley's in Hancock. My H slammed on the brakes and pulled into the driveway when he saw the word yarn in the window.

I also hit up stores in Gorham, Camden, Lubec (easternmost point in the US!) and Southwest Harbor

I have been really bad about uploading pix of anything lately. I got a giant set of interchangeable needles (woot!), 2 skeins of a cotton yarn and a pattern to go with them, and a skein of sock yarn (we all know how much I love that). Will upload pix someday...

I remember seeing the Yarn store in Gorham when we were riding through on our Motocycles in August!    Unfortunately my husband wouldn't stop.!  LOL   I think the other guys along with us would have protested!  LOL  But Maine is just BEAUTIFUL!!
