I'm working remotely today and catching up on all the cable shows at R's house. I'm watching his two younger kids tonight, so I'm grabbing them from school and going to my friend's house to see the butterflies she's raising. Then making some dinner and hanging out. Saturday is a fitness expo with my mom and probably doing house stuff. Sunday is probably church and then R's house for dinner with all of the kiddos.
This is the first weekend all month I'll be home, so I plan to do NOTHING. LOL.
OK, I don't plan to go out, but I'm dying to sort through my closet and do a clothing purge (it's starting to feel like fall, so queue the desire to purge and bring out the sweaters), and I want to see if I can find new nightstands to go with our new bed/mattress (existing nightstands are super wide, so with the now-wider cal king bed, it's just too much for our room).
And Owen is brewing up an abscess in his hoof, so I'll be spending lots of time convincing my horse that his leg is not broken and he can, in fact, stand with his foot in a bucket of water to help draw it out. So - I'll basically be doing a lot of mopping up of spilled water.
Busy weekend considering we are never social! Tonight going to see Downton Abbey (yay) and tomorrow meeting up with some friends we haven’t seen in a while for dinner. Other than that - normal getting stiff done and relaxing.

I've had my person in town this whole week, which has been really fun and so many good discussions. We got out on a great date last night - went running together, then soaked in hot springs, then decided to stop in a local dive bar on the way home and we were 2 of 5 people in the bar besides a 4-person band that was fun and funny.
For this weekend, I am headed to a reading tonight for a short story (published in a novel collection of stories) that my friend wrote, then to dinner with my person, parents, and 2 of my kids. Tomorrow off to a town about 2 hours away for my oldest kid's mountain bike race, where I watch him race and then volunteer at the finish line for the next 4 hours. Staying in that town with my sister's family, and having a evening birthday party for one of my nephews. Back to my town the next day (lunchtime) and then off to my friend's birthday, which is a potluck and house concert at another friend's house in the mountains. Not much time for much house or organization activities (that need to be done), but I do have another out-of-state friend who happens to be in my town and am trying to fit in a quick coffee or hang out with her if that works with our schedules. This is typical of my kid-based weekends where I seem to have both my friend stuff and kid stuff fall on the same weekends. The following weekend should be way more relaxed.
I have a date tonight with a single dad who seems nerdy and also really cool. It's taken weeks to get a date scheduled because of our schedules. He has his son 50% of the time. Saturday I have a second date with another guy who I first went out with on Wednesday. He is trying to book me up quickly! We had a great time, so I'm hoping date 2 will be more of the same.
Other than that, I'm just going to be doing some cleaning and organizing, meal prep, and maybe also some baking. I'm feeling like making apple cinnamon muffins.
Hola! Tonight is rehearsal for a wedding a group of us are singing in on Saturday. After the rehearsal we're headed to a brewery to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Saturday will be a clean the apartment, sleep in day before the wedding itself. The weather forecasts thunderstorms so I hope that changes for the happy couple.
