Hi! What are/did your babies wear to go home from the hospital? I bought a cute outfit with a long sleeve kimono top, but now that I’m looking at it again the arms seem like they might be tough to get newborn arms into...
It will still be warm here - is a shortsleeve onesie with pants ok?
Make your life easy and bring two zipper up sleepers. 2 bc they always poop in the first one. Zippers bc it’s so much easier. Pants never stay on baby butts IMO. Lol

Baby #1 came home in a long sleeve onesie, pants, and socks.
Baby #2 came home in a long sleeve kimono onesie and footie pants. I know they were H&M, but I can't remember which ones! We took a photo with him in his car seat outside the hospital, but he had a swaddle blanket over his lap and the car seat harness and you really can't see what he's wearing under it.
All his pics in the hospital are in the hospital striped hospital blanket and hat.

I have a few options lol. Two are little sleepers and the other two are kimono style shirts with footie pants. (I’m not taking them all, I just haven’t decided which one yet) I think you’d be fine with short sleeves and you can always tuck a blanket around baby!

Yeah, I’m thinking more and more that no one is really going to see this outfit anyways!

this one will come home in the same outfit DS did - we were team green with him and it's footed pants with ducks as feet, a duck print onesie, little jacket and a duck hat. a set from carters.

It’s true. I’m not really sure why it’s a big deal, but I thought it was with my first. Lol.
Well, the shirts we put babies in at the hospital are long sleeves with the crossover snaps, so I think the first outfit would be fine.
And short sleeve onesie and pants would also be fine
Maybe I can get a nurse (or someone more experienced with dressing newborns) to help me, lol! I know long sleeves are standard, but this top is a little thicker cotton than I thought and the sleeves seem a bit narrow.
I am tempted to pop it on a stuffed animal and see how difficult it is... oh well, I can always bring a few options!
Just don’t be a dummy like me. I brought a DRESS UP outfit for DS because I thought it would be so cute. You have any idea how hard that shit is to get on a newborn? We ended up having to take him home in one of the sleeper gowns (so yes, pulled up to his waist to get him in the car seat) because the only other onesie I had my MIL tried to put on him and claimed it was too small and she couldn’t do it (it wasn’t. He was in NB clothes for 3 months).
I’m bringing two sets of jammies and a back up onesie and pants. Just in case she messes everything up.

Oh no! I don’t have anything fancy at all, just cute. I will bring a few options. Hope your MIL stays in her lane this time!

For DS we just did a long sleeve onesie, pants, and hat (this was in January). For DD, we will probably do PJs and a hat (also january). Like others have mentioned, DS was covered in a blanket for all the pictures.
For my first, I had a whole outfit. It was cute but a lot of work to get him into it! For my second, I took an outfit but ended up bringing her home in a zippered sleeper instead-it was perfect! For my third, I didn’t even attempt to look for an outfit, went straight for the sleeper!
