1. How far along are you?
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
3. Questions for the group?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Whyyyy am I still pregnant. DS was born at 38+2. TMI- yesterday, I went to pee. When I was done, I went to stand and more liquid came out. So I sat and it stopped. Went to stand again and it happened again. Had a lot of tightness but no pain. Called L&D and they told me to come in. Had contractions 1-2 minutes apart but they were mild. Turns out she was just blocking me from peeing so when I went to stand her position changed and just let me pee more. What a waste of time. Dilated to 2cm now. She is SO LOW. I’m having a ton of tightness but no painful contractions. So here I sit on an exercise ball wishing myself into labor.
3. Questions for the group? Why won’t my baby come out?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. I can’t wait to not have to worry about my blood sugar anymore so I can do some awesome fall baking. Oh and drinking!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I got nothing here. No vents, no AWs. I'm boring this week.

I like to go to a festival or 2. Maybe we'll check out the state fair this year. DSs birthday is near Halloween and he really loved decorating the outside of our house for it last year, so well do that again.

1. How far along are you? 23 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
My DS just switched from an in-home provider to a daycare center. There was not much choice because in our area space is extremely limited. We've had his spot secured since last January. However, it's been 3 weeks and he's been sick with some kind of bug pretty much every day since starting. I've already WAH two days because he's had fevers. Luckily we haven't caught anything, but I can't help but imagine him bringing home all kinds of germs in the middle of flu/cold season when this baby comes. Sort of wishing I had waited one more year, but also know that I wouldn't be up for fighting for a daycare spot with a two week old. There is no winning.
3. Questions for the group? How do you compromise on names with your spouse? We are down to two-ish names (though others pop up in conversation occasionally). He has his favorite (Claire) and I have mine (Natalie). The same thing happened with DS and he didn't have a name until he was over 6 hours old. Ultimately, we chose a name that we both liked, but wasn't either of our favorites. This time I really want my favorite.
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
I am so ready to put up halloween decorations because I know DS will be super into it this year. Beyond that, I'm ready for fall tv and taking walks in cooler weather. We have already been to one pumpkin patch for a birthday party, but will probably find a weekend to do one more.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I'm now in the stage where I feel like I have all the appointments ever and it's clogging up my schedule, lol.
3. Questions for the group?

We already started decorating for Halloween, will finish that this weekend. Definitely pumpkin patch sometime in October and I'm hoping we can carve out time for some apple picking at some point. We have to drive over an hour to get there though, so it's a bigger time commitment. There's also a fall festival I'd like to attend, but we have a kid's birthday party to go to that day as well so it may not be workable.

1. 15 weeks
2. I *think* the nausea is starting to subside. Thank God.
3. Not that I can think of
4. All of the above, lol. I’m a walking cliche and love fall. Also, I’m hoping fall will fly by, then the holidays, then it will be January and I’ll be pretty close to having this baby.

1. How far along are you? 14w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I had my nuchal translucency screening last week. I was feeling bold and the ultrasound tech was friendly, so I asked her to make an educated guess at the sex. (My OB correctly predicted the sex of DS at his nuchal translucency scan.) The tech thinks this one is a GIRL! I should receive my cell free DNA test results soon, so we'll find out for sure then.
3. Questions for the group? None this week
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? Do cooler temperatures count? The weather forecast here shows 90 degree days for the foreseeable future. I'm ready to get out my fall/Halloween decorations, but it seems too soon since it's still so hot.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? If my bp is up again at my appointment Thursday, I’m going to have to deliver next week. To say I’m totally unprepared for that is the understatement of the century, both personally and professionally. I’m just trying to stay zen and not think about it.
3. Questions for the group? Apparently bf scheduled maternity photos this weekend. Which is very sweet and I’m excited about. But I’m also gigantic and feel v v v unattractive, PLUS I have no idea what to wear. If you had them done (or will), what did you wear. Any suggestions for me??? lol Bonus points if it wasn’t $$$ and available online.
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. I LOVE football season. And can’t wait to do all of the picking with DS, if it ever cools off enough to be comfortable doing it!
Post by urbancowgirl on Sept 24, 2019 7:11:23 GMT -5
dock, it was hot when I had my maternity pics done, so I wore a dress and a statement necklace. What's your weather like? I think maxi dresses are flattering in maternity photos.
Post by aprilsails on Sept 24, 2019 7:20:03 GMT -5
dock can you check with the photographer and see if they have some outfits? I know many of the maternity photographers in my area have a few long flown dresses in assorted sizes that work for their clients.
I never did maternity shots but otherwise I would have done a maxi dress or skirt. Jeans and a nice T-shirt and cardigan also works if you want to be more casual.
aprilsails and urbancowgirl it looks like mid80s and partly cloudy. 😩 The photographer is a friend of his, so I’ll have him ask if she has anything to borrow. I do have a maternity maxi dress (or two?) and possibly a non-maternity one that may fit. My feet are generally pretty swollen by the end of the day, so I’d rather not have photo documentation of that - a maxi would help hide it. lol

dock, For our maternity photos last pregnancy, we dressed down. I wore jeans and a long sleeve black tshirt. My husband wore a button down and jeans. I say wear whatever makes you comfortable and helps you feel good.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? my blood pressure has been creeping up at home, though it was fine in the office last week. they ran some bloodwork and want to see me again this week to keep an eye on things. which, being nervous about being induced early (so many things at home and work are not ready) doesn't help my blood pressure, lol. but, am grateful to be seen again and to monitor a bit more closely. it's only one extra appt since i'd be every week at 36 anyway, so we are just adding in a 35 week appt.
3. Questions for the group? none that i can think of right now!
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
we already tried to hit up a few things - the renn fest, our favorite little farm stand opens their pumpkin patch this weekend, so will visit that next week probably. i don't think we will do much decorating, but DS has already picked out his halloween costume (thanks costco) and one for his little brother. don't know if apple picking is in the cards this year, it's still so hot here, 90s forecast again this weekend, ick.

1. How far along are you? 34+6
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? My weekly NSTs have been going great. All looks good with baby and he’s definitely become more active. The nursery is 99% done and I love it.
3. Questions for the group? Favorite nursing sleep bras if you’re larger chested?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. My SIL, nephew and I went apple picking last weekend and we’re pumped football is back. I’m just looking forward to actual fall weather so I can open the windows, sit on the deck with a book and enjoy the last few weeks of my pregnancy!

I'm not entirely sure I'm doing photos, I didn't bother last time either, but I am considering this dress as a possibility if I do.

1. How far along are you? 34 weeks tomorrow!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? MFM last week said the growth was steady, he's just small, but he's rocking his NST and biophysical profiles so they are aiming for 38 week induction. I still feel AMAZING and would stay pregnant forever. Watch my story completely change next week
Though I will say... I have become an emotional mess - even more than before - in the last week. I have a good ugly cry multiple times a day (for no reason, usually!) and feel like the tears could fall any minute. Sometimes I feel so alone and I don't know why... maybe just overwhelmed that the end is near. And now I'm bawling at work. GAH.
3. Questions for the group? Is it dumb to plan a labor playlist and bring headphones? I really want to go med free and read that what works for you to concentrate/relax in your regular life will probably play out in labor. I cannot work or concentrate without music going. Anyone else planning (or done) a playlist? The hospital has ability to stream bluetooth in the room but I think I need the headphone element to really zone out.
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. I decorated the house for fall over the weekend and am enjoying the break in humidity and rain here (FL).

1. How far along are you? 26+4
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We finally got the registry started, we picked a daycare, and we are getting a new quote for a bigger nursery Reno than planned, but one hat I think makes so much more sense. And apparently I am the only one that thought I was successful in hiding the bump, so I guess I am trying to embrace it (though I still have a little bit of a waist line / fat roll so it doesn’t look like a normal bump to me). And this is the last week of my appointment break before very 2 week appointments start. I have loved the break, and am already getting anxious about going back there.
3. Questions for the group?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
Nothing really. With fieldwork on top of work and the kids, there isn’t much time to do other things. Halloween is DH’s favorite holiday, so it’s been fun to see him getting excited about Halloween decorations and stuff. If everything goes well, our second house will close before Halloween, so I am looking forward to not having the responsibilities for a second house or mortgage for a few months before daycare payments start!
I'm not entirely sure I'm doing photos, I didn't bother last time either, but I am considering this dress as a possibility if I do.
I love that!
Very pretty! I got similar off the shoulder maxi dresses from Pink Blush for my shower and pictures and really like them - they are comfy, flattering and not too expensive.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We just finished moving back into our house after moving out to get all of our popcorn ceilings scraped and interior painted. I have this week off to put things back together and finally start the nursery. It's been really nice and therapeutic. I was feeling completely unprepared for a baby to come in 6 weeks (house-wise) and this has helped me feel much more calm about it. Plus it's nice being away from work as it's been quite stressful lately.
3. Questions for the group? What post-partum supplies do I need? I have tucks pads, disposable postpartum underwear, nipple cream, and a peri bottle on my list. Trying to add these on before I do my last big registry completion order soon.
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
I decorated my front porch on Monday with corn stalks and pumpkins like I always do. And now just for some good classic fall cooking. Hoping to make a bunch of different soups and dishes so we can freeze extra for when baby gets here.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We go back for another ultrasound to check the baby’s heart on Friday. I feel him/her making stronger movements this week, which is cool! H hasn’t been able to feel yet.
3. Questions for the group?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. I just can’t wait for fall weather. It’s still so hot here in the 90s and predicted that way for the next week. Ugh!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Baby is a GIRL! Just had the anatomy scan this afternoon. H correctly predicted both DS and now DD, so there will be no living with his ego after this haha.
3. Questions for the group?
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc. Halloween a little bit, and fall weather. It’s still pretty warm here as well as humid right now and we are NOT accustomed to humidity in the desert. It’s at least bearable at parks again now.

1. How far along are you? 19 weeks 6 days, half way there
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
Had our anatomy scan today, everything looked good. Confirmed it’s a boy, and that he is stubborn, they couldn’t do the fetal echo so back in a couple of weeks hoping he cooperates next time. Considering every US we had he hasn’t cooperated I’m not hold my breathe.
3. Questions for the group?
How do you handle your SO freaking about about things? Because we couldn’t get the echo and have to go back, plus some other health concerns for me he’s been all over me. I appreciate the concern, but I need my space and not having to reassure him every 5 minutes that all is good.
4. last week we talked about fall foods - what kind of fall activities are you looking forward to? apple picking, pumpkin patch, decorating for halloween, football on tv, etc, etc.
. How far along are you? 36w6d. Induction tentatively scheduled for 10/11 (39w) but I’m going to talk more with my dr.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Our crib and glider were delivered, which I’ve really been looking forward to. The glider is so comfy but much bigger than I remembered, oops! The room may be a bit crowded...
3. Questions for the group?

We usually drive into the foothills to get apple cider donuts, and meet my brother/SIL/niece up there to spend the day. But, it’s about a 2 hour drive and I’m just not up to it this year. Instead I will get out the Halloween decorations early, but I’m only doing about 50% of what I’d usually do. DH insists that he will still put up all the outside stuff - I’m trying to convince him that taking it all down when we have a newborn is going to be a pain, but whatever! I know I’ll enjoy having them up!
