Last time I had a Medela that came with a bag and a cooler, etc etc. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked. I ordered a Spectra through insurance, just assuming the same would be the case. Alas, no bag or cooler.
If you bought a separate bag for your pump and cooler for milk, do you have a recommendation? My SIL bought one she told me about, but it’s $$$ and I don’t love it (given the price).
The compartments feel like they were designed with a Medela pump's dimensions in mind, and my Spectra S1 does not fit super well. I have to just put it in the main section, which I don't think is what the designers necessarily intended. My friend got it for free with her pump (which she subsequently gave to me with all the accessories so I could have one at home/one at work). Since I have it I'm using it for work travel, but I don't love it. If I were buying, I'd want something that specifically is intended to hold a Spectra pump, which is rounder and has a bigger base than a Medela PISA, or just a large sturdy tote bag that has no compartments, like an LLBean or Lands End canvas tote with zip pouches for stuff. The tote bag approach is what I did last time.
I just used a small overnight duffle I already had for my pump and put my milk cooler in there as well.
The milk cooler I used the Kiinde system and bought their cooler which fit 6 bags with two custom ice packs that it came with. I would definitely recommend that as it was reasonable and we still use it when we are flying for DS’s snacks and pouches, they fit really well in there and I can use either the ice pack it came with (for TSA it has to be frozen) or stick a ziplock in there that I fill with some ice after security for things like his grapes and string cheese.
ETA: If I was using my spectra bottles instead of the Kiinde bags I could only use 4 of the 6 milk slots, they were flexible enough to use for other (short, they wouldn’t have worked with our tall Dr Browns ones) bottles but I’m not sure I’d recommend it to someone not usually using the Kiinde bags.

dock it’s a milk storage and feeding system brand (www.kiinde.com or amazon etc) where the plastic pouch can stand upright once filled a bit and they snap into a casing with a nipple to feed so you never have to transfer the milk. They’re thick enough plastic to recycle which made me feel less guilty about all the plastic- plus if freezing any storage system requires it.

i got a scout bag on amazon that fit the pump, bag of parts, the cooler for bottles, a pack of the wipes, a cloth diaper for any spills and usually i could squeeze my lunch in there too.
