On Saturday, 10/12, at 5:38 pm, I placed an Ulta order. I did not pay for extra special shipping. Regular shipping only. It was delivered today at 10:42 am. Zero business days. I don't even understand how that is possible. I typically waited 4-5 business days at my old place.
It was a large order too! So it's not like they just wandered over here with a tube of Gimme Brow. I needed to refill a bunch of stuff that I used up pre-move, and was taking advantage of the fact that I had 3X points + 2x for birthday + certain hair products had extra points. So I spent like $120 (and got 750 points!) on a bunch of products that had to be boxed up.
I wonder if they're doing more local fulfillment now that you can pick up in store for so many things? My last online order came next day. Or maybe we got a new local distribution center?

My stuff came through a warehouse in Hyattsville, MD. Is that new?
In general, I'm floored at how fast shipping is out here. I have placed quite a few online orders since arriving here ...stuff to set up our place, refills of things like dog supplies, buying myself a birthday present, etc. Everything is SO FAST. Standard Amazon Prime delivery is one day, not two, and my Anthropologie order arrived in two business days, instead of the estimated 4-7.

We have a LOT of regional distribution centers around here. Like Amazon is just coming from Baltimore to my house so...yeah. I don't know if the Hyattsville location is new.

I've never paid attention to the address on my Ulta boxes, but I think shipping has really quick for the last couple years. Back when we were doing FOTD/EOTD threads, it was SOO SLOW. Only recently have I noticed a lot of standard 1 day amazon shipping without needing to meet the $35 requirement.
I made myself a 6 pan palette of Make Up For Ever shadows and so far I've used every single shade and love it. It's nice to have a "palette" that truly feels versatile enough for travel and everyday use. Plus I think it maybe cost about the same as buying a palette from which I would only end up using about 4-6 shades on a regular basis.

From 20%off Ulta using 125$ of points: Morphe Ring the Alarm palette Cerave rough and bumpy skin cream for my feet 2 almond and honey body washes Bumble and Bumble coconut shampoo B&B invisible oil shampoo (Free gift of B&B glow spray and powder) Moroccan Rose body scrub Lemon blueberry tart body scrub Biolage conditioner balm Buttercream cupcake shower gel Moroccoan Rose shower gel
I’m having the hardest damn time getting over the red color of this Ordinary Lactic treatment. I know it’s from the pepper berry or pink berry or whatever, but STILL. I look like I smeared blood all over my face and it BOTHERS ME.
I really wish Fresh would put out a decently sized gift set with their lightly tinted/untinted balms. I keep going back and forth this year's big set because it's a good deal for that many balms (and I will use them) but the colored ones wear off too quickly for me to wear during the workday, and they're ridiculous to use at night when I usually put on lip balm after my skincare routine.

In the spring, I bought the Jaclyn Hill/Morphe Armed and Gorgeous palette from Ulta (a sister palette to the Ring the Alarm one I just bought). I didn't use it though because it was fall colors. I used it today, and that one too is really lovely. These 2 palettes are 2 of my favorite makeup purchases in a long time! It's true that I have many other golds and browns so those colors are redundant for me but they are nonetheless nice eyeshadows. If you're looking for something for autumn, Armed and Gorgeous is great, and if you're looking for something different, do Ring the Alarm. I'm really happy I bought them!
IGK charcoal detox dry shampoo is no joke! I have a small size that I got in a sample bag and tried it on my hair that hasn't been washed in a week. It put life back into it without feeling weird. I do not have an oily scalp, so I used it more to add texture and volume than to get rid of oil.
An important thing with hair products for me is smell. So many dry shampoos are so strongly scented and I can not handle that with my migraines. If scent bothers you this one has a nice light scent that I can barely smell on my hair afterwards. I have a slight migraine that I've been battling all day and this stuff didn't make it worse! I'm off to purchase the set on Sephora!
I would put this up there with the Oribe dry shampoo that I love. It is so much cheaper than Oribe too!
