Would you consider appliances that have a cabinet panel instead of the stainless door?
We did black hardware, black lights over the island and table and then stainless appliances, faucet and pot filler. The mixed metals doesn’t bother me in the least.
I like the mixing of metals, as long as they are represented multiple times in the room. I think if you could get another gold thing (lighting maybe?) in the room, it would be fine.
ETA: But I do wonder how close they are. If it's a true gold and true stainless steel it's probably fine. But if they skew towards each other it may look like you're trying to match and it missed the mark.

It'll totally be true gold and stainless steel. I'll bring the gold in through lighting and some accessories, if we choose to do this.
We are doing this in my kitchen reno right now. All our appliances are stainless, but our hardware, faucet, lighting is gold. Our top cabinets are white and the bottoms are dark blue. We like it!

I think it would look great. I confirmed with photos, but I definitely love the look.
Yes, I think it would look good. But I would also do a gold light fixture to tie in the color a little better. I personally don’t like the look of all brass everything in a room. We have brass pulls and light fixtures but our appliances, sink and kitchen faucet are stainless steel. This is how it turned out:
Friends just redid their kitchen. Gray and white cabinets, gold hardware and lighting fixtures and stainless countertops, farmhouse sink and appliances and it’s really really nice.

I worked with an interior decorator for my kitchen. The cabinet pulls and the faucet are champagne bronze. The appliances are stainless steel. She said in her opinion mixing metals makes it look more high end.

We have stainless appliances and a 'stainless' faucet. The island light is 'orb' as are the main (white) cabinet knobs. Our island is painted navy blue and has 'aged brass' pulls. There was ... minimal planning going on.
Down the line (when we have a lot more $$) we'll take out the whole kitchen, fix the floor through out, and replace cabinets. Then we'll probably go with the same pull material at least. But it's NBD to me.
