So I'm on the hunt to replace SR Good Genes with something less expensive, but just as effective. My skin loves Lactic Acid and without it, my hormonal acne goes nuts. Unfortunately about 2 weeks ago I ran out of Good Genes and started using The Inkey List Lactic Acid serum and it's just not doing the job for me. I need something more than a once a week treatment/mask/peel.
Anyone have any leads on an effective alternative or thoughts on the products below? I have sensitive-ish, drier skin but it's used to acids and retinols at this point.
I've tried DE Framboos (the glycolic acid is too much), but I'm interested in Kate Somerville Exfolikate resurfacing treatment, moon juice acid potion, Farmacy honeymoon glow, and PTR Lactic Pore Treatment.
I’ve been enjoying the Tarte Knockout Tingling Treatment. I only use it twice a week because my skin doesn’t tolerate more than that right now, but I’ve found it to be effective.

I was going to suggest this as well. It’s a 5oz container too, so it’s relatively inexpensive.
I've been using The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. It has lactic acid in it. I tried it after watching Risa Does Makeup do a video on it and rave about it. She has older skin (40's) though that leans oily, so it may be too strong for your skin. It does not irritate my skin at all

I use good genes as well. I had been using moon juice and I liked it a lot. The only thing I didn’t like was it made my skin feel sticky so I only used it at night. I decided to try glossier’s the solution. I like it but not as much as moon juice. My skin loves dr. dennis gross alpha beta peel pads.
I bought some of The Ordinary peeling solution last night. I hate that it looks like blood all over your face, but I'm going to give it a go. Otherwise I'm going to try the Moon Juice and PTR stuff when the Sephora sale rolls around.
