1. How far along are you?
22+2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
My DH started throwing up last night, they are announcing his resignation at work this morning, so here’s to hoping it’s just nerves.
3. Questions for the group?
What do you do to keep your house germ free during the cold/flu season?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone!
We used a bassinest with #2 and I LOVED it. I sold it unfortunately, so hoping I can find another on a BST board. Usually baby stays in our room for 3/4 weeks then we move to crib.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I'm exactly a month from my due date today, but since I'll be induced prior to that I'm down to less than a month until this baby comes!
3. Questions for the group?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone!
We'll attempt to use the bassinet in our room again. But DS refused to sleep anywhere but on my chest for the first 5 weeks. And then we moved to cosleeping until 6 months because it's literally the only way I got sleep. I'm setting the bar low and hoping we use the bassinet more than 3 times with with this one 😂🤦♀️

1. How far along are you? 26 weeks...creeping up on third trimester
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? We cannot decide on a name. I'd really like her to have a name before she is born. I'd like it even more if she had a name before our shower in a month. My husband feels no rush to decide on this. So, I guess she will have a name after she is born, haha.
3. Questions for the group? Girl names that you think pair nicely with a brother named Henry? Also, did you buy anything new for baby 2? I'm trying to put a few things on my registry before our shower next month, but I'm really struggling.
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone!
As much as I never thought I'd say this, we are feeling pretty certain we will bed share with the next one. I'm trying to wrap my head around it, though. Our reasons include ease of nursing in the middle of the night (this may be useless since my son inevitably pooped every time he ate) and minimizing waking the whole house when the baby cries. We'll start the night by putting her in a bassinet, but as she needs to nurse, I'll probably just keep her next to me.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I’m so tired. So tired. We moved this weekend (90% done at this point) AND bf’s family had a surprise shower for me, which was completely unexpected but so sweet. I was so sore and uncomfortable by the end of it, if that didn’t kickstart labor I’m pretty sure nothing will. /sob ETA I’m also soooooooo done at work, but still here trucking along. Ugh.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! I have no idea. We’re going to play it by ear. We now have an old school bassinet, the new rock n play bassinet, the crib and a cosleeper. DS was in the original RNP until 4ish months, but that’s out. I’m 99% she’ll at least be in our room somewhere for the first 3-4 months.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
So many appointments. I still have so much to accomplish in the next 6-7 weeks, and I don't think I have enough free time to get it all done. Trying not to panic.

We have a Halo bassinet that she'll sleep in, we'll probably keep her in our room for the first year or so like we did with our toddler when she was a baby.

1. How far along are you? 17w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I'm in that awkward phase where my regular clothes are too tight but maternity clothes (particularly pants) don't fit well yet. I wore maternity jeans to Target today and had to stop every five feet to hike them up. Looks like it's all leggings, all the time for a while.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? I'm thinking about springing for a Snoo for our bedroom. A friend who had a baby in August can't stop raving about it and I will do just about anything to get more sleep.

murphybrown, I have a Henry and I'm having a girl, too! My favorite girl name is Claire, but it doesn't work with our last name, unfortunately. But I also like Blair, so that's on our short list. Campbell is another favorite, but I'm not sure if I can get DH on board with that one. Caroline and Cassidy are on the short list, too. Apparently I like names that start with C.
swiftlyirun, with a kid in elementary school, it's tough to completely avoid germs. We keep hand sanitizer everywhere and wipe down light switches, faucets, remote controls, etc. daily with Clorox wipes. If it's a vomit situation, I wear rubber gloves when handling anything that could be contaminated. DS and DH both have been sick in the past month, so I minimize contact with them as much as possible (DH handles kid-related tasks like bedtime, sleep in separate rooms, etc.). I've been tempted to buy a face mask, lol.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Well, my ob sent me to triage after my NST and it appears I’m in the beginning stages of pre-eclampsia, so they’re inducing me today! I’m waiting to get to a room and then they’ll start the process. It is so weird that I left home for a regular appt and next time I go home, it’ll be with my baby!
3. Questions for the group?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! We have a travel pack and play that has an insert to make it 3 different heights (like a crib).

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Scheduled our 3D ultrasound and maternity photos for mid-November. Looking forward to both those things. My insurance also gave me a free breast pump! I didn’t know to ask until my SIL told me about it. It should arrive tomorrow. Woohoo!
3. Questions for the group?
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! I think in the bed at first until we can get the hang of being parents and me breastfeeding. This might have to be the case when I go back to work so I can also get decent sleep. Hard to decide what’s right not knowing how all of this will go.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I have a friend who is quite a bit older than I am (60) who wanted to go to my first OB ultrasound. I don't want her to go. So I told her it was when she was going to be out of town. Well, she cancelled her trip and the first thing she says is "what time and day is your ultrasound?" Ugh. So I told her I did not want her to come to the first appointment because we have a lot to talk about with the doctor. (My labor last time did not go well). She has not responded to that text. Why do I feel guilty about this? This is my pregnancy and she is not my mom (not that I would want my mom at my appoint either, but that's another story.)

4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! My first son slept in our room until 9 months and I am hoping to do the same with this little guy. I really don't want to buy another crib and if we can get this one to 9 months we will move my first son to a big boy bed.
2 I just got back from my appointment and they're concerned about my lack of weight gain and my stomach is measuring small. She said to add fat and protein and do supplement drinks. They'll decide on a growth u/s at my next appointment. I'm feeling stressed and guilty about this. I really hate feeling full. It makes me feel sick.
3 Nope
4 We will have her in a bassinet by our bed. I'm not sure how long we will keep her in our room. I have a feeling we will want our room back quickly, so maybe just a few months. We have made our room a kid-free zone (as much as you can with little kids)
swiftlyirun, regarding your germ question - I Lysol my son's coat and backpack every day. Maybe it's overkill but he's in elementary school and kids are full of germs. We also all get flu shots and wash hands frequently.
murphybrown, I'm struggling with girl names, too! My other kids were named by this point so it feels weird. I think most names will go great with Henry.
stellelinds25, good luck! So exciting you get to meet your baby soon!

murphybrown we’re having a boy and plan to name him Henry. We have a Lillian and a Claire that will be his proud big sisters! I also liked the following girls names to go with Henry:
Anna Clara Eliza Anything that could be shortened to “Ellie” Amelia Kathryn Mary Margaret
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? My blood pressure was high last week, so if it is again at my appointment Thursday they’ll induce at 37 weeks (Sat). I took it last night and it was fine, but I just want to know! I hate the uncertainty of timing at the end.

4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! My mom is getting us a swing that can lay flat to turn into a bassinet, so we will try that. My first two had acid reflux and we used the RnP for the elevation, so I’m a little nervous this time.
2. I think I’m finally feeling some kicks (anterior placenta).
3. I don’t think so.
4. Baby will start off in our room in a bassinet...probably transition into a crib in their own room around 6 months, when we sleep train (assuming we have a new house by then with a room to put baby in!).

I dont go here right now, but wanted to comment. I know that my ultrasounds until I was 17 weeks were transvaginal ones. I wouldn't want anyone there. Crap, I barely wanted to be there lol.
I think you handled that well the second go round. If you feel guilty, maybe show her the pictures after? Honestly, I wouldn't want anyone there but my partner.

1. How far along are you? 37 today!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Augh. I'm scheduled for induction tomorrow night and I DO NOT WANT TO YET. I burst into tears everytime it's talked about. OB confirmed this morning that my cervix is "not favorable" with no dilation or anything. I see MFM in the morning and after the growth scan, she'll make the final decision on if he needs to come now or if I can wait another week. I'm just praying he grew enough to give me another week. It's probably a pipe dream, right??
Everyone else I know has always been begging to be done by the end and I'm holding onto pregnancy with every inch of my body. This is it for me, and it took 15 years to get here, and I just don't want it to end. I still feel great and he's doing fine. Just small.
3. Questions for the group? Nah.
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! We have a Halo swivel that he hopefully tolerates

This was me exactly when I was at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter. The night before my c/s, I cried and wasn't ready for it to end. Everyone kept saying, "Oh my gosh I bet you're SOOO uncomfortable and ready to be done!" Nope, I'm happy like this. What I can say is that once I had her, once she was in my arms, that was the only place I wanted her to be. While my story is different, it took 7 years and pregnancy loss to get her and I wasn't sure if she was my last. I just wasn't ready to be done. I wasn't ready for that chapter to close. But then I had her and all was well <3 Big hugs to you and good luck with your induction!!

Big hugs, and I completely understand where you are coming from. It took 11 years and several losses to finally get my little guy here and he is likely going to be my only one. But, once you're holding him on your arms, it's a whole new set of emotions that you don't want to end, not to mention an overwhelming unbelief that he's actually here.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? doc appt today, everything looking okay. i'm tired and sore and sick of working. one week until my last day, then go in next friday for repeat c section. i can't wait to just be focused on one thing - home, instead of home and work and commuting and this and that, on and on and on. the first month i'm just worrying about survival and keeping this new person alive.

1. How far along are you? 37 weeks today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? At my doctor appointment last week, my OB mentioned possibly inducing me at 39 weeks due to the pain I am having with my hernia (which baby's head is firmly pressing directly against causing a lot of pain/discomfort). It caught me off guard so I didn't have all of my questions together, but am wondering whether that is advisable, and if that would increase my chances of a c-section which I really want to avoid. I'll have lots more questions for the OB tomorrow (unfortunately it's one in the practice I haven't met before), but hoping to get clarity. I started WFH this week which has been nice, and am focused on wrapping my work up. I have a gut feeling she will naturally come early based upon how low she is.... which probably means she will stay put until 41 weeks. I
3. Questions for the group? Have you been induced before? Please share any experiences good or bad, trying to contemplate what to do...
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? We have a bassinet that has been used for the past 3 generations (and surprisingly enough meets all of the modern safety specs). She will be sleeping in that in our room to start. I am hoping to keep her in that in our room, but am a very light sleeper so we'll see how that works out.
2 I just got back from my appointment and they're concerned about my lack of weight gain and my stomach is measuring small. She said to add fat and protein and do supplement drinks. Try small snacks more frequently vs larger meals. For fat and protein, things like a glass of full fat milk or yogurt, a handful of nuts, a spoonful of peanut butter, etc. You won't necessarily be hungry for them, but it likely wont give you that icky full feeling either.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Feeling a lot more movement in the evenings, yay!
3. Questions for the group? How do you guys post bump pictures? I was used to tinypic but with that gone am not sure how to go about that.
4. Where will your baby sleep when they arrive? Their room, PnP, bassinet, etc! So many fun options, always curious what everyone does. No judgment zone! We were given an arm’s reach cosleeper/bassinet for DS that he refused to sleep in- hopefully DD gets some use out of it. Otherwise she’ll be in a pack n play initially until we move her to a crib.

I gained 4.4 kgs total while pregnant. I had a small stomach too. My baby weighed 3.73 kgs at birth. Don’t be stressed! Some people gain less weight. My midwives were never concerned when I asked and they don’t weigh you here. The US obsession with weight gain is unnecessary as long as baby is doing well snd growing well.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
We calculated my maternity leave for work... my last day is December 5th, which I feel like is really soon and I’m not nearly as prepared as I would like to be.

We have a bassinet for our room. DH doesn’t want him in our bedroom for too long because one of his older daughters had a difficult time transitioning to her own room. But we haven’t started the renovation on the baby’s room yet - the contractor has been super slow to provide the quotes we need - and we don’t have a crib pick out, so we’ll see what happens! 🤷♀️
1. 4w3d Sneaking in here early, I am still super early but going to try enjoy this pregnancy.
2. Had a handful of betas done and doubling within 48 hours! Not a lot of symptoms yet but I cant stop burping.
3. Nope
4. DS slept in a halo bassinet beside our bed for the first few weeks but then he just coslept. We sold the halo bassinet but I think I am going to try find a used one for sale.
