Insulin for cats help

My brother’s cat was just diagnosed with diabetes and he thinks insulin will run him $350 a month from Costco. That seems very high from why I seem to remember from old posts. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated because I am trying to help out my brother! Thanks in advance!

One bottle should last him many months. The pharmacy will say its only good for 1 month but for animals it's a 6 month expiration. The other good news is that cats typically have smaller doses as well (depending on the type of insulin) so he won't need many refills. So that $350 Will average out to ~$50. Although that price still seems high so I would have home shop around, get coupons, etc.
