We’re going to DLR for the first time and are either going to stay at the Anaheim Hotel, or Sheraton Park Hotel. Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with either? I have pros and cons for both.
I haven’t stayed at either but I’ve heard bad reviews of the Anaheim hotel... dirty, roaches, etc.
This was on my “con” list. I saw several recent trip advisor reviews that mentioned bugs. I wonder if it’s set up more like a hotel where the rooms open to the outdoors rather than an interior hallway? I feel like that could allow for more bugs to get in.
I was worried that the Sheraton was further away, but after reading several reviews that said it was a 15 minute walk, I realized that’s not bad at all. While I don’t love Starbucks, I appreciate that it’s attached to the hotel so we can have one less stop on our way to the park.

A lot of the hotels near the park are set up with outside hallways. Even with pest control, you might actually see a bug because "nature". I've seen roaches in downtown disney and in the parks so it isn't surprising that you might see one in other parts of Anaheim.
The Sheraton is just south of Katella and part of what adds to the walk time is waiting to cross the street. The walk back does suck because you are tired and the distance makes you less likely to pop back over to your room during the day.
There is a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf right by the Sheraton if you prefer their coffee. It is tucked away behind the CVS at the corner of Harbor and Katella. You can also pop in 7-11 (on the NW corner of the same intersection) for coffee.
When we’ve stayed at hotels a little farther than we cared to walk we took Lyft. Quick, easy, about $6-8.
Unfortunately our kiddo is still in a car seat so I think Lyft/Uber wouldn’t work. I know sometimes you can request one with a car seat, but I’m unsure how I’d feel about that. Probably easier to just walk!
