I have a baby boy! No idea how to upload pix, but he is adorable with huge chubby cheeks.
I went in on 10/11 to start an induction. After 72 hours and only getting to 1.5 cm, nothing was working (misoprostol, Foley bulb, pitocin) and they started talking about sending me home. Ummm, no! We ended up with a c-section on Monday 10/14 and he was born at 10:56 am. i had been feeling conflicted about opting for the c-section, but it turns out he had a knot in his cord so it was the right choice after all.
Finally got to go home on Wednesday. Recovery has been fine, but breastfeeding is horrible. He had a tongue tie corrected in the hospital, but still won’t latch. I had a consultation with a private lactation consultant today so hopefully some of her tips will help.
Congrats!! I'm glad hes here safely! Breastfeeding is so hard in the beginning, even without the tongue tie issues. I hope the LC can help give some tips for helping you out!

Congratulations! Hang in there with the BF and I hope the LC can give some good support and get things going well. But even if it doesn't work out, remember formula is totally fine too, the most important thing is that your little guy is fed.
Hope you are settling in and enjoying all the baby snuggles.

I’m glad he’s here safely and that he had chubby cheeks! Good luck with the feeding- it can be very challenging and I hope you come up with a method that works for you. Congrats on your new baby!

Congrats!! From one failed induction mom to another, it sucks. We’re having some bf issues too because of his short nicu stay, but the LC at his pediatricians office has helped us a ton. I hope the same for you! Enjoy all the baby snugs!
