Miami Recs?

We have two days to enjoy, and would love some suggestions for where to stay, eat, play. 

I'm interested in the Seaquarium, my 6yo loves sea life. 

I'm debating staying on the beach, or someplace else if it means more within walking distance - we won't have a car.

Stay in South Beach. Joe's Stone Crab is my favorite. We stayed at the Kimpton Surfcomber last time. It was really nice and right on the beach. Just be warned there's a raging pool party next door at the SLS (I think that's what it is). Not sure if that is year round. I believe it is on Saturdays.
