1. 28 weeks
2. Did my 1 hour glucose test and got my Tdap today. The glucose test went really well up until it was time for my blood draw and then I started feeling terrible. Immediately came home and had coffee/food and that helped a lot. I'm really hoping that I don't have GD.
3. None today
4. I think I'm going as the kool aid man. My work always does a big party. Other than that we might go trick or treating. Forecast is calling for rain and my 2 year old is pretty luke warm on the idea. We may just skip ToTing and hand out candy to other kids.

1. How far along are you? 38+5
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I officially start my maternity leave on Wednesday and can not wait! I am feeling a strange mix of being so ready for her arrival, with also knowing that I am going to likely miss her crazy baby kicks once she is here. I thought I would be so ready for her to come, but alas I am savoring these final weeks, enjoying lots of dates with my husband and sleeping in. It is very strange knowing that any day now we will have this massive, life changing event occur when I go into labor, and yet we don't know when exactly it will happen.
3. Questions for the group? How much has it mattered to you to have your actual doc there for the delivery. My doc (whom I love) is on call this coming weekend so I am really hoping that I go into labor then (she has also offered to induce bc of my hernia pain, which I am less inclined to do). As much as I want her to be the doc delivering my baby, I am also wondering how much STMs felt like it mattered given how little time a US OBGYN is there for the actual birth.
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? We are going to a friend's house to pass out candy. H has a great costume he can't wait to wear.... so far I haven't figured anything out and am feeling pretty unmotivated to do so.
murphybrown - I have my glucose test tomorrow. I’m Dreading drinking the yucky drink. I can’t tolerate a ton of sugar as it is and worried about my stomach afterwards.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Went on our babymoon, stomach was upset the whole time, not too enjoyable and sleeping was hard. I was glad to get home back to our huge soft bed last night. We did see some pretty fall colors and the downtime away from work was nice.
3. Questions for the group? Is it normal to feel a “stuffed” feeling up front? I just constantly feel uncomfortable and my belly isn’t terribly huge yet. I also think my intestines must be being squished because I’m getting side pains before I have to go to the bathroom.
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? No plans for me except to relax probably. We don’t get any trick or treaters and haven’t had time or effort to decorate this year.

1. How far along are you? 19w
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I had my anatomy scan this morning and everything looked normal. What a relief! I had placenta previa throughout my last pregnancy and the doc confirmed my placenta is not low this time! Woohoo!
3. Questions for the group? None today
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? I am not dressing up. We plan to meet up with neighbors and TOT. It's supposed to rain, so I'm not too excited about it.

doglove, I remember feeling really stuffed last time. I couldn't sit up on the couch for most of third tri and had to lounge on my side instead. I also felt like I couldn't take a deep breath. Fun times.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Trying to get our guest room cleaned out to make it into the baby’s room. We have a long weekend coming up so hoping we can get a fair amount done. Gavin’s nursery theme is outerspace and I scored a couple decorations today from Target. I am starting to feel super pregnant though, I have some swelling in my feet, getting tired easier and feeling emotional.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone here have a successful VBAC? The only way I can have one is if I go into labor naturally by 40 weeks. My doc will only give a small dose of pitocin to help if I am in labor already and since this baby is from IVF I can’t go much over my due date.
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? I ordered a cute shirt from Amazon that says “mommy’s little pumpkin on the bump lol.

vmars I had a vbac with the second. She actually had to be born at 38 weeks bc of low fluid. I wasn’t in active labor- just like 2 cm dilated. They agreed to try and naturally start labor- stripper membranes and had me walk a bunch. I guess they saw enough progress that they decided to do super low pitocin- like 1 increment at a time. It took 24 hours, but eventually she did come out via vbac!

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I had the most random horrible pain last night. It was up on top of my belly, otherwise I would have been sure it was contractions. So tight and hard to breathe. I was in tears for like an hour. Tbh I was thinking that if I was in labor there was no way I’d be able to make it to the hospital or to even pack a bag or whatever. I don’t know what it ended up being- eventually it faded away (as I was in the most awkward position ever)- I’m guessing some random gas (though it was WAY worse than any bad gas pains I’ve ever had & they’ve been bad), or baby positioning? Ugh
I do have my 32w growth scan tomorrow, so I am looking forward to a weight estimate and a fluid check. Time is starting to tick for me with my history.

4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? I’m class parent for my K, so I’ll be going in to help out with the class party and parade. I’ve got an orange maternity shirt, so I got some self adhesive black felt and I’ll cut a jack o lantern face to stick onto my belly. Lol I figured 5/6 year olds would appreciate that. Taking the kids TOT in the rain after dinner with friends.

I am just worried bc I never dilated or made any progress whatsoever with DS. When I did my HSG test they said I have a super long cervix which may be part of my issue. Hopefully I can get things started this time. I will know more at 32 weeks with my growth u/s. DS was also off the charts for his measurements esp in the head and shoulders.

I just had a successful VBAC with DD, after induction. Because I was VBAC, they only use foley for dilation and then pit. Started at 8:30a Thursday and she was born Friday at 3:05p, after about an hour and a half of pushing. With DS, I had almost the same induction protocol, and never really dilated or developed a regular contraction pattern. Also, DD ended up being bigger than DS, although all along they estimated she was quite a bit smaller.

I didnt get my chosen OB for either of my births. With DS, my OB wasnt on call the night I went into labor and a coworker of his delivered DS. I'd never met her in my life, until she walked into the room to catch DS coming out. She did a good job and I couldnt complain. Also, I had my son in Germany so there was a language barrier the OB spoke zero English. In the moment, it wasnt really a big deal for the most part because the midwives did.
This time because of my emergency Csection, I wasnt even at the hospital I'd planned to give birth. And the MFM doctor who sent me over doesnt actually do deliveries anymore, so a coworkers of his also did my Csection last week. I met him 5 minutes prior to the csection itself. Again, I got lucky and he did a good job and everything went smoothly.
Had I had more time to worry about not having a OB I wanted to deliver me, it may have stressed me out. But everything happened so fast for me both times and worked out ok.

1. How far along are you?
37+5. I can't believe I've made it this far. It's been 11 days since my last progesterone injection, so I'm a little surprised I made it this far - thought for sure I would go into labor a week out from the last shot. Now I'm wondering if baby is going to come out on her own at all!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
DH and I can't decide on a name and it's driving me crazy. We both hate each other's choices, so it's been insanely difficult.
3. Questions for the group?
Not yet, but I might have induction questions at some point.
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? Yes I have a silly jack-o-lantern shirt and crazy leggings. We're supposed to do trunk or treat at dd's daycare, then come home and go trick or treating, but it's supposed to rain. Trunk or treat might turn into giving candy out inside, which is fine except everyone goes all out on their trunks, so I'll be said I put all this effort in for nothing.

vmars, I'm also interested to hear about VBACs. At this point in the game, it's up to me whether I want to try a VBAC or schedule another c/s, and it's a hard decision to make! I've tentatively decided that I'll go for the VBAC if I go into labor on my own and don't need to be induced.

Same here. I am playing it by ear. They are going to be having me doing weekly NSTs beg at 36 weeks and probably an extra u/s. I would like the opportunity to have a vaginal birth but I know it will be okay either way.

I had this with DD1, all the time from about where you are on. It came and went but we think it was her positioning. She was almost 22in and 8.4lb at delivery, she was just trying to stretch out- straight into my ribs. I’m still convinced she tore something it hurt so bad. My stomach up there has never been the same. If I use my stomach muscles up there it usually spasms and I can’t breathe.

WinterWine for my first I got a midwife I had only met once and i liked her then, but during delivery, we didn’t get along well and i was a bit jaded for #2. I ended up being induced by my FAVORITE midwife for #2 and she missed the delivery (along with my husband who was running down the hall screaming for someone to call the midwife!) Ha.
All the to say, even if you get your preferred OB, things don’t always go according to plan.

1. How far along are you?
31+4
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
Not much. I did too much on Saturday but relaxed when we got home and took it easy on Sunday, and my swelling has gone down a lot. I’m trying to focus on getting a little walk or 10,000 steps in each day.
3. Questions for the group?
I saved my question, and now I cannot remember it!
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans? No, I have class we did trunk or treats on Saturday with my SD who is 5. The older SD is going out with her cousin on Thursday.
2. I had to go to the ob today for a few tests for unpleasant woman issues. I’ve gained a few pounds and she has caught up and is right on track. As uncomfortable as I am, I’m so glad to have that worry gone. I’ll still focus on getting enough calories but I’m significantly less stressed now.
3. No questions
4. Not dressing up. I’m using pregnancy as an excuse to not go TOT. In my defense, I’ve had some significant back pain. It’ll be 30 degrees and I’m tired. DH can take the kids. I’m not even going to answer the door. I’ll just put candy out there.
2. I’m halfway there! And not specifically pregnancy related, but we bought a house! We desperately need the space, but I was losing hope it was going to happen before this baby got here. We close 11/22. Now we just have to sell our current home, lol.
3. Moving tips with a 2 year old and 5 year old under foot?
4. We have Trunk or Treat at DDs school tomorrow night, then the Halloween parade and classroom party on Thursday, plus regular Trick or Treating (which is looking like it will be in the rain). I have a jack o lantern t-shirt and also a witch costume, because that’s what was assigned to me by DD in our family of “spooky things”.
1. 6w1d 2. Had our first ultrasound and we saw a little heartbeat! Measuring on track and heartrate is good. 3. Nope 4. I am not dressing up but my friend lives on this street that they shut down for this big halloween party and friends invited us. We are doing a little pot luck for dinner and taking all the kids out together. It is a group of about 6 of us, we all were on maternity leave together and our kids are within 6 weeks of each other.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week?
No real complaints although I had some heartburn last night that kept me awake for a bit. I seem to remember having heartburn for about a week around this time before it disappeared. Here's hoping this is a temporary thing again. lol
3. Questions for the group?
4. Are you dressing up for Halloween? Any fun plans?
I may pull out my costume from my last pregnancy (a shirt w/baby arms and legs poking through) because it makes me laugh. Or I may just use the skeleton w/baby skeleton shirt I wore for the trunk or tweet a couple weeks ago and a friend's party last Saturday. I have a NST tomorrow and then we'll be hitting up a different pumpkin patch from the one we went to last week; it's a tradition to go to this one on Halloween because it's gloriously empty that afternoon. Then going home for some tot-ing with the toddler, dinner and some Halloween movies.
