Russ and I have only ever had trucks. So, the dogs have always traveled in their individual kennels.
Now that I have a carish vehicle I am not sure what to do. The hatchback part will easily fit all three of the dogs without being strapped in, but I am not totally comfortable with them free back there. It would fit one large kennel that I could put Lexi and Luke in together, and Hagen in the middle. Or two small kennels (smaller than Luke would like to be in) and Hagen in the middle.
Either way Luke will be not very comfortable in a kennel and every time we have to go somewhere it is a two hour ride. Is there other options (without kennels) to strap them in the hatchback part of the car? Any ideas?

Are they good with being harnessed? We have a Kurgo harness and it's been a life-saver for us. You could either do three separate zip-line styles or just attach them to the vehicle itself, depending on whether or not you're worried about them getting tangled up.
